Are you okay?

Not really tbh..

Do you want me to call you?

Yes please..

I didn't know what was wrong with my best friend, but by her Facebook posts, I could assume it was her dad. And by the way she was replying to my text messages.

"Answer your freaking phone.." I tapped my foot anxiously on the carpet floor of my room. "Sigh, please."

"Hello?" My best friend's voice finally appeared on the other end of the line. You could hear her trying not to cry, even with just her greeting.

"Bri, what's wrong?"

"My parents got into another fight.. And my mom didn't want me around my dad at the moment, you know? So she dropped me off at Aimee's house."

I had to admit, I was a bit hurt that she had her mom drop her off at Aimee's instead of mine, but I didn't want to add more guilt onto Sabrina.

"How come she didn't drop you off at mine?" I asked, non-chilantly. She sniffed.

"I didn't wanna bother you with my crap." That made me feel bad.. Did she think that she was bothering me with her problems?

"Oh Sabrina.. You know you never bother me with this kinda stuff. It's not 'crap'. You're my best friend, it's my job to help you with anything you need help on." I sighed, switching my phone from one ear to another.

"Well I'm at Aimee's house right now.. And she's not even talking to me.."

"Emily!" A distant voice called from the living room.

"I'll be right back." I say my phone down on my bed and came out to where my mother and sister was. "Yeah?"

"That's Sabrina you're talking to on the phone right?" She asked and I nodded. "Ask her if she wants to go to Wet N Wild with us tomorrow, we'll buy her ticket for her." I suddenly got excited and ran back to the phone.

"Sabrina, Sabrina, Sabrina, I need to ask you something!"

"And that is..?"

"Okay well I know you're at Aimee's house right now, but do you maybe, possibly, kinda wanna go to Wet N Wild tomorrow with me and my family?" All of it came out in one big sentence. I wasn't completely positive that she understood any of that, but she still responded within two seconds.

"Oh my god yes I'll call my mom. But I'm spending the night at Aimee's house, she'd have to pick me up really early before she went to work." She replied then mumbled something to Aimee. "Do you think I could call you back so I can call my mother?"

"Yeah sure, go ahead. I'm cleaning my room anyway, just call me if she says yes." I made that sound as if, if her mom said no not to even bother calling be back, so I quickly added "You know what, just call me when she gives you an answer. Don't forget to tell her that we'd pay for your ticket."

Click.

I drew a deep breath and sat on the floor next to my squeaky roll away bed. My laptop was settled in front of me. The amount of boredom that I was feeling was unbelievable. Although, i shouldve been used to not doing anything or talking to anyone since that's what happened for the first half of my summer break. Sabrina and I have had our fights, especially during the school year, but it hadn't ever been bad enough to where we didn't see each other for over a month. I expected to see my best friend at least every other day, since our summer bucketlist had to be done together, but our plans continued to o be honest, I'm not a hundred percent sure what happened right after school ended..
