Okay. I think we should just go ahead and establish some things before I start.
1. Kohen Turner despises my existence.
2. Kohen Turner has always despised my existence. The dude just has it out for me.Alrighty, then. Now that we've gotten that out of the way, I should probably tell you who I am.
My name is Ophelia Stone (yes, like the chick from Hamlet). I go by Lia, but you can also call me Kohen's worst nightmare. I'll answer to either.
Anyway, today started out like any other Tuesday. I woke up at 7:30- which is late, might I add. I got ready (kinda), locked up my tiny studio apartment, and rushed to the subway. The ride to the station closest to Columbia was only about ten minutes, and I still had twenty before my 8 a.m. music theory class began. Why I decided to take an 8 a.m. class- let alone, music theory- is beyond me.
The subway was fairly empty, and I caught the train right before the doors shut. I sat across from a guy who looked like he had a pretty wild night. He was rocking a half-shaved head and was missing an eyebrow. Nice. I'm guessing that took place during his drunken stupor, and I'd say it probably wasn't his doing. Now he was passed out on the subway in a white tee shirt, his boxers, and one sock. Goals. The realization that the train had stopped broke my thought process. I hopped off the train and booked it to campus. I made it there with less than ten minutes to spare and got to the music building by 7:56. I got mad skills, yo.
I loudly busted into the classroom with three minutes to spare, which earned me a glare from my professor, who, at the beginning of the semester, made it very clear that he abhorred tardiness. Oops. I gave him an apologetic smile and tiptoed to the desk I sat in every day- the desk that just so happened to be right beside the one and only Kohen Turner.
Don't get me wrong, Kohen is a great guy: smart, talented, and kind to everyone. Not to mention, he's gorgeous. Like supermodel gorgeous. And he has the voice of an angel. Okaaaay. Enough of that, Lia. For some odd and unknown reason, though, he loathes me. He curses my parents for giving birth to me (not really, but you get the idea). I've never done anything to him that would give him reason to act the way he does toward me.
Immediately after I sat down, he shot a look my way. It wasn't his typical "I hate you" look that I received on a daily basis, though. This one was different. I think... I think I may have seen him smile a little at me. Maybe he's ill or forgot to wear his contacts, Lia. Shake it off.
The professor's monotonous voice put me to sleep most days. It didn't help that ha was talking about music theory. But today, I was wide awake. Only because I felt a certain someone staring at me for the majority of the lecture.
Once the professor dismissed us, I gathered my things and shot out of the classroom. I had to get away from Kohen and his weird staring. Also, I really needed a freaking coffee, so Starbucks was the destination I had in mind.
I made it outside and began to round the corner of the music building when someone grabbed my arm. I started to scream, but a cold hand clamped over my mouth and pulled me back. I turned and looked at who my capturer was. Kohen. Wait... Kohen?!
"Jeez. Don't spaz out. I'm not going to kidnap you or anything," he said as he gave me a bored look.
"Well, did you have to grab me like that?! We're in New York, for crying out loud! You could have been anybody! You could have been a murderer! You could have been---"
"Ophelia. Shut up and listen to me. I need a favor from you."

Hey, guys!
It's been a while since I've written anything. I decided I wanted to start fresh, so I deleted the other two stories I had posted on here.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this new story. Most chapters won't be this short, but the first one just is.
Thank you for reading!
