Dreams and Happily Ever Afters

Hello! Just a quick but very important note about the characters in this story. Please read this because otherwise it will be hard to understand the story.

Andy, Ashley, Jayy, and Dahvie are all kitsunes. A kitsune is a Japanese fox demon. The older and more powerful they get the more tails they get, up to nine. In this story they also have feline-like ears, their human ones are useless. They can work small amounts of magic, usually illusions, but this makes them weak. Kitsunes mate for life, they choose someone to spend their whole lives with, and will go to the ends of the earth for revenge on someone who harmed their life-mate.

Jake, CC, Kellen, and Vic are werewolves. They can shift into full wolves at will. When they have sex, they are mated, their souls join and they are bonded to this person for the rest of their long lives. Mates can speak to each other in their minds.

All of Motionless in White are vampires. Sunlight doesn't really bother them badly, neither do holy relics, but they have to drink blood. Biting between two vampires is highly erotic and only done between lovers. Vampires emotions are heightened, and will not hesitate to kill someone threatening their romantic partner.

All of All Time Low are witches. They prefer warlock, not to be confused with a wizard, wizards mostly deal with the science side of things, warlocks deal with nature. Warlocks are like humans in many aspects and customs, but they have a deep connection with the earth and are skilled in all forms of magic.

Andy's p.o.v.

He was playing with our daughter, beautiful matching raven black hair, she got that from him. I sat back and watched them giggle quietly. It was days like this that brought me so much happiness. We weren't really doing anything at all, just staying at home for the day, we didn't get enough days like this. I love just lounging around with my family. Always being on tour took such a toll with a young daughter.

He looked back at me and smiled. Our baby girl was in his lap babbling on about something at a million miles an hour. I was suddenly struck by how grateful I was to have them. the sunlight was streaming in the window making them look like angels.

I got up and made my over to them. He patted the spot beside him and I sat down next to him. Our daughter had gotten up and gone over to play with her tail. Her pink princess dress contrasted with her hair as the sunlight caught the sparkles scattered in both.

He leaned on my shoulder as we watched her play. I looked down at him, petting his tails. I loved the softness in his eyes as he watched her. He was the mother figure, always making sure she was safe, and I loved him for it.

He looked over at me and I leaned down and placed and gentle kiss on his lips.

"I love you." He said.

"I love you too, Ashley."

Then I woke up, slamming my head in top of the bus. What the actual fuck was that?

Jayy's p.o.v.

I was curled up in bed with my tail wrapped around my leg, my feline ears pricked for and kind of approaching footsteps. slowly I took the box out of its hiding place. I opened and stared at the treasure inside. I hope I picked the right one.

The diamond in the ring glinted almost mischievously. The thing knew I was nervous. In my world a sentient object isn't that weird. Maybe if he says yes I'll have a witch friend spell it with something.

But Gods above am I nervous. What if he said no? What would I do then? What if I ruined our relationship? Kitsune mate for life, I can't loose him because I was moving too fast.

I thought back to a little over a year ago, when Dahvie and I first got together. I was so nervous then too. I kept thinking that he was going to decide I wasn't his life-mate, and that he was going to leave me. But he hasn't yet, and I don't think he will. So it makes sense that he wouldn't leave me over this. I love him with my whole soul, and I know he loves me the same. When I got the ring I thought the time was right, now is not the time to get cold feet.

Suddenly I heard Dahvie's light padding approach the back of the but where I was. I scrabbled to hide the ring, shoving the box under the mattress a minute before he entered the room. He laid down beside me and I relaxed.

As I gradually drifted to sleep I looked at his peaceful sleeping face, and all my fear was gone. I was going to ask him, soon.
