College Lyfe - Friends and Enemies

Serena's POV

Ash is a nice person. He helped me with my mess, and stood up for me when Miette was bullying me.

"So Ash, what are you here for?" I ask him.

"Well, I graduated Kanto High with a scholarship in Pokémon Battling and had the choice of a college in any region of my choice, so I came here."

"Wow. That's impressive." I say smiling.

"Thanks!" Ash replies.

"Come on, I'll show you my friends." We keep walking down the hallway and Serena greets a group of people.

"Hi guys!"

"Hey, Serena!" The group says in unison.

A petite girl with dirty blonde hair, and black short shorts and a red bandana walks up to Ash, with her hand on her chin, observing him. "Who is this?" She asks.

"Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Ash Ketchum, I'm eighteen, I'm from Kanto, graduating the highschool of said region with a Pokémon Battling scholarship to a college of my choice in any region of my choice, so I chose Kalos, and now I'm here." Ash says, taking a big inhale afterwards.

"Impressive." A boy with green hair says.

"Thanks."

After I introduce Ash to everyone, we just chat.

"So, why aren't we in class right now?" Ash asks.

"Today is the first day of college after the pre-classes." May says. "So some classes are off while others are just starting later than normal."

"Oh. Well, I guess I'm heading back to my dorm to finish unpacking." Ash says.

"See ya." I say to Ash and look at him as he walks away.

"Serena, you're drooling." May says, whispering in my ear. I feel a blush rise up on my cheeks.

"W-what?! N-no I wasn't!" I shout, defending myself.

"Whatever you say." She replies with a smirk.

I let out a sigh. "Come on let's go."

Ash's POV

I head off towards the dorms to unpack the rest of my belongings. On the way to my dorm room, a boy with short, black hair walks towards me in a blue jacket, jeans, and a red cap with shades on the front.

I go to walk past him but he stops me in my tracks.

"Excuse me, but I need to get through here." I say to him.

"You're that new kid, right?" He asks with anger in his voice.

"Yes, as a matter of fact. Got a problem?" I ask him.

"Yeah. I do. I saw you hanging out with Serena earlier today. She's all mine, so stay away from her. You got me?" He says, poking my chest.

"Sorry. Can't make any promises," I say.

"Well this had better be an exception." He clashes shoulders with me as he walks away.

I shake my head in disgust as I continue to my dorm room. I go inside and sit on my bed. I pull a box of stuff over in front of me and start to go through it.

After what happened a few minutes ago, that tells me it's going to be a long first year.
