Marinette sat on her balcony.  Her parents fast asleep as the stars came alive. She smiled and watched them stretch and start to move around. She watched as they danced and talked understanding every word. Two stars notice the little girl sitting on her balcony, no older then nine.  They walked as close as they could to her without getting in trouble.

"Can you see me?" One asks.

"Can you hear me?" The other asks.

"Of course.  I've heard you and seen you every night and I love you all." Marinette smiled and the two stars felt warmed by her smile.

"I'm Tikki."

"I'm Ladybug." They introduced themselves and Marinette smiled bigger.

"I'm Marinette." She stood up and reached her hand out. Tikki and Ladybug looked at each other. "What's wrong?"

"We are not allowed to touch humans." Tikki explained.

"That's okay. Can you guys be my friends? I don't have any." Marinette pouted.

"We would love to." Ladybug smiled as the sun came up. "We'll see you tomorrow Marinette."

"See you tomorrow!" Marinette smiled as her friends disappear at the suns touch. Because of Marinettes gift she never grows tired. She ran into her room and got dressed for school.  Sabine, her mother walked with her to school and left as soon as they got there. Marinette smiled bigger, this was a new school after all.  She walked in and found her classroom and walked in.

"Good morning class." Marinette new teacher smiled. "Today we have a new student.  Marinette Dupain-Cheng." Marinette smiled even bigger as her name was called.

"Hi I'm Marinette."  She smiled.

"Do you have anything to tell us about yourself?"

Marinette already knew what she would tell them. "I can talk to the stars." She smiled as kids laughed at her remark. She knew they would, everyone does.  She sat down and her teacher started the lesson for the day. At recess no one would talk or play with her and she didn't mind. She sat in a corner of the playground and looked up and saw Tikki. "Hi Tikki." She smiled as she drew her in her notepad.

"Hello Marinette."  Tikki smiled back. She left as soon as a girl with glasses ran over to her.

"Hey can you hand me my ball?" She asked as the ball rolled over to Marinette.  Marinette picked up the ball and gave it to her. "Your weird.  I like it wanna be friends?"

Marinette was stunned. No one ever wanted to be her friend. "Sure." She smiled.  "I'm Marinette."

She reached out her hand. "I'm Alya!" She exclaimed.

"Nice to meet you." Marinette took her hand and they went to go play ball.
