Picture of Ashley!
"Beep Beep Beep"I looked over at my alarm clock to see it was 6:45 I rolled my eyes and nearly fell out of bed, I put on my purple fuzzy slippers to avoid the cold hardwood floors of my apartment. I walked to my bathroom and took a 5 minute shower, brushed my teeth, and put on my minimal amount of makeup, which consisted of eyeliner and pink lipgloss, then walked back to my room and over to my closet. After about 3 minutes of looking at what was in my closet, I decided to wear a purple skirt, a baggy white shirt and put a big gray hoodie. Once I was dressed I made my way to the kitchen, grabbed an apple, then headed out the door.

I started to walk to my locker but didn't get very far before Maddie Martin stopped me. Maddie had short beach blonde hair that reached a little past her shoulders and was straight but far from flat, big green eyes, she was captain of the volleyball team, and was basically the 'popular' bitch that slept with half the guys in the school. And, for some reason I'm not clear on, I happened to be a person she despises, she makes that clear just about every day.
"Where are you going, little slut?" Maddie asked her eyes laced with fake curiosity -as if she actually cared- as she all but glared at me.
I said nothing.... I grabbed the bracelet on my left wrist with my right and and started to intertwine its layers, messing with my bracelet as I started off into space, my gaze fixated on the schools newer bad boy, Colby Allen, 'Why him?' I asked my self before my mind went completely blank, my face emotionless. Maddie's lips kept moving, nothing came out, all I heard was the clatter of my bracelet's beads hit each other as I fidgeted with it.
A hand slapped me on the face, hard, and I snapped out of my daze.
"What the hell are you doing?! Don't you hear me talking to you?!" Maddie snapped at me, the anger on her face was clear.
'No I didn't I choose to block you out, I don't need unnecessary things in my head so, I don't even let your annoying yapping run through my mind!' I thought but knew I should keep quiet and try not to make a scene, even though that little bitch just slapped me! Instead I choose to say "No sorry but I have to get to my locker now. Talk later." I said in a fake girly sing-song voice. Then proceeded to walk away. I heard her scoff and felt her eyes follow me, but she just stood there, no footsteps were heard but my own as the people I didn't really notice were around us just stood there and watched me walk of just as Maddie.******
After I went to my locker and got my books for my first period, English, I went to class and took my seat near the middle of the class. There were a few students scattered seeing as the bell just rang, but soon people started to poor in. After a couple of minutes my best friend and really my only friend, Lexi, sat beside me. She looked at me as if I was crazy, I already knew what she was going to say, 'Are you crazy Ash?! You just told Maddie, TALK LATER?!' I thought to myself and just as I had thought she said those exact words... "Are you crazy Ash?! You just told Maddie, talk later?!" She looked at me as though I had just told her I'm pregnant. I looked at her and put on a dead serious face and motioned her to come closer, she did, then I whispered in her ear "Yep I'm crazy, now pay attention to class!" She looked at me as I playfully scowled at her, we were quite for a minute as we stared at each other, after about 45 seconds we both burst into a silent fit of giggles making sure not to get caught by Mr. Winfred. English was pretty boring after that, I did the assignment with the occasional chat with Page.

Second period, science, went by pretty quick. I sat in the back right corner farthest from the door, farthest from the teacher, farthest from Maddie, farthest from everything around me. I didn't really pay attention to the lesson at all, I started off into space, my gaze fixed on a safety poster, and mindlessly drew circles on my nook book paper. I didn't really care what was happening around me, besides some muffled voices all I could really hear was the lead of my pencil running along my paper, and all that seemed to matter was that poster and the circles I was drawing on my paper.
"RRRIINNNNGG"
I was snapped out of my train of seemingly endless thoughts, once again.'Next up, math,' I mentally rolled my eyes 'BUT to make up for that after math is lunch!' I silently fist pumped on my way out of science. Lunch was my favorite, mainly because we got to go outside and I have a "hiding place" as Maddie likes to call it, she has never seen it cause ever times she tries to follow me, I "hide" from her. No one knows where I go but myself, I've never found anybody trust worthy enough... Or at least not in the year that I've been here...

I walked swiftly to my next class, not wanting all the attention on me if I was late. Unfortunately I wasn't paying attention all that much and ran into someone, someone big.
"I-I'm sorry" I masked my humor with fear trying, again, not to make a scene. I kinda stood there, looking at the ground, waiting for them to say something like 'Watch it slut!' Or 'Next time you'll pay little bitch', but they didn't speak. I could feel them stare at me. "S-Sorry" I said thinking it could only be one person.... Colby Allen. I started to walk away, but when I was almost out of arms reach he grabbed my wrist, and pulled me into the janitors closet. "Why?" He asked his tone icy and emotionless, not letting go of my wrist.
"What?" I softly snapped but realized if I got on his bad side that would mean big attention with I do not want, I decided to play scared.
"Why do you let her talk to you like that?!" He snapped back his tone still icy, but in the faint light I could see his facial features soften, or so I thought because the instant I saw it was gone and he was tense again. I had to think about how I wanted to answer that... I can let him know my secret or get him specious.
"I'm scared she'll hurt me more than she already does..." I said in a very timid, a little scared sounding tone. I mentally rolled my eyes at how pathetic I sounded. But this is for the best, I think. He scoffed at my response, but once again his facial expressions softened the only difference is this time he didn't immediately tense back up, his eyes looked at me with sympathy and pity even. I must have accidentally scoffed out loud because he immediately tensed back up.
"What?!" His voice bounced off the walls of the small stuffy closet. I winced at how loud he was. "Answer me!" His voice boomed once again.
"Shut up!" I whisper yelled. 'Oops' I mentally face palmed at my own stupidity. "Someone might here you" I said in a timid tone. 'Please don't let him make me slip up again...' I prayed silently.
"Listen here, you are not going to talk to me like that when all I want to do is help." He said ever so calmly his voice sounding bored but cold, as he said it his grip tightened on my wrist, it stung a little but trust me when I say I've felt things much worse. I couldn't let him know that this didn't phase me much so I said quietly, lacing my voice with fake fear
"Y-You're hurting me... Please s-stop." He dropped his hands immediately and his eyes filled with something I couldn't explain. "Thank you" I thanked him but got nothing in return. I looked towards the door thinking that I probably already missed half of my math class, not that I'm complaining but that kind of thing draws attention, and attention is something I never want again, at least not normally.Hello my people (if anyone reads this but I doubt it)
This is my first book! I'm really excited I finished this chapter! But sorry if it's terrible I will always be getting better! I hope. Heh well yeah let me know what you think! 😘
