Prologue

"We're here."

I opened my eyes and looked out the window. There it was. My home.

Suddenly a feeling of sadness and doubt washes over me.

What will they say? Was this a bad idea? Will they hurt me?

I started to panic but was quick to shake it off.

You'll be fine,you can do this.I said to myself desperately trying to calm down.

The driver opened the car door for me as I got out.

"Mam,are you sure this is the right location?" the driver asked looking very confused.

"Yes." I said while giving him my best fake smile.

I thanked him as he handed me my bags. He looked around the forest once again before turning back to face me "Mam just please be safe. There are..." I sttoped listening to him and just stared into the deep dark forest.

Of course he was confused. Humans aren't allowed to know about us. He doesn't know that this forest was just a fasade or a magic trick if you will. Because behind that forest is the home of witches. It used to be my home aswell. Until that one night.

I snapped out of it and realized that the driver was long gone. Just to be safe I looked around one more time to see if the coast was clear.

After I was completly sure there was no one there I gently pressed my palm against a hard wall that only people with special powers could feel.

I closed my eyes and gave a mental command to be granted entry.

Soon after the wall became visible and started to separate.

This was it. There's no going back now.
