vampire doom

lily

the sound of the slap echoed through the still, tens air.

i didn't even flinch as i grab the girls wrist and stare at her, she wore a dirty black and blue uniform, she was all scratched up and she wore a black necklace with a blue heart charm. she glared at me deeply, as if she saw threw my recently added potion to make me look completely human... she made me feel uneasy. 

as her eyes finally strayed from my face and wandered around the room, she noticed my acceptance letters and bag that sat at the side of the room, as she looked back at me and finally took in the situation i had come out of and she had entered into. she blushes deeply as she backs up, i let her wrist go, she backs up to the window and looses her balance as she falls, toppling back and out the window. i quickly run to the window and jump out, it was at least a three story fall, i grab the girl by the waist and quickly push away from the building wall and jump between the office building and the orphanage's walls. as i land on the orphanages roof i place the girl down and look at her confused. 

so a girl enters my room and slaps my face... 

'wait... whats that?' i ask myself as i move her blue hair away to see a familiar tattoo recently added and her now exposed neck. my mind fills with the craving for blood, i leen into her neck but quickly back away. i shake my head as i let her hair fall back over her neck, her hair... i distract myself with a different detail. her hair was matted with blood and she had a giant splint on her leg, she must have broken it. 

'should i take her t the hospital?' i pick her up again and drop down to the front door of the orphanage, i knock gently.

the woman from before (mrs. Danko) opens it, her face goes from an annoyed and tired face to worried, she ushers me in quietly and paces the floor.

"should i take her to the hospital?" i ask as my eyes follow mrs. Danko as she walks in circles.

"the closest hospital is closed... the cities hospital is downtown... you've never been here haven't you? plus, its very far... it would take a very long time to get there..." mrs. Danko shakes her head "should i?" she glances at the girl in my arms "no no i'm far to old now to us it..." mrs. Danko gives a look to me that bothers me deeply.

there's a slight hint of magic in the air as mrs. danko walks over to me and smiles, her yellow coffee stained teeth seemed slightly pointy at this angle.

"i'm going to lend you part of my powers... but, you must promise only to heal for the better" mrs.danko tells me firmly. 

i kind of just sat there, 'the power to heal? ehhh, it doesn't seem that useful... oh wait... i could heal myself in battle!' with this thought i nod in agreement.

"good, but put a shirt on, OK" mrs. danko looks away with a little bit of honey glow in her cheeks. 

i remember i hadn't put on a shirt, i dint see the problem but i quickly tip toed up the stairs and down the hallway. the dark and quiet corridor seemed to creek and moan under my weight as i slowly made my way down.

"would ya hurry up! shes hurt bad down here!" mrs. danko yells from the bottom of the stairs. her loud shout splits through the quiet as i rush to my room and throw on a shirt. and that's when i noticed something... there was blood all over me and on my bedroom floor, the blood sinks into my shirt, i felt a headache seep into me and my stomach growls this time... something about this blood was diffrent from the rest.

"for mimes sake would you hurry up!!!" mrs. danko yells again

i get slightly annoyed as i walk back down the hall and slide down the railing, my head pounding as the smell of fresh blood becomes stronger.

"geeze... have you never had human blood before? i mean, it disturbed you so much that the potion spell broke!" mrs. danko gives a little bit of a chuckle "look at your tail~" she smiles as she sees my tail and black feathered wings, "ok now this will hurt and in the state your in your headache will increase and you probably will want to suck her dry... but... both ways there's a chance of death so what the hell" she places her palm on my forehead and mumbles something. the pounding in my head feels like a hammer is hitting me in the head over and over again, i feel like i haven't eaten in three years and the smell of blood makes my heart skip a beat as it enters my nose.

's-self...c-c-control...' i remind myself painfully, i sit beside the girl which now laid in a pool of her own blood 'self... control...self... control....self...' i repeat the same thing in my head as i bend my thumb so that i had only my four main fingers up, i tried to expel everything and leave my mind blank, i close my eyes. i feel magic rush to my hand, it slowly drain through my finger tips, my hand starts to burn. 

"lower your hand, let your palm guide you to where she must be healed to finish" mrs. danko whispers behind me.

i let my hand move to the girls body and i feel my hand slowly cool off as it lands on the girl, i open my eyes to see exactly where my hand had fallen to... i slowly move my hand away from the girls chest as i stand up and sigh.

"where do you think your going?!" mrs. danko stops me. "your going to clean up this blood while i bring lily to her room"mrs. danko waves her hand, a bucket and a sponge suddenly appears on the ground beside me.

i sigh as i transmute into a black fox like cat, i look at mrs, danko with my cutest eyes and she glares at me.

"that wont work on me..." mrs. danko picks up the girl (aparently named lily) and marches off up the stairs.

i feel my stomach growl and my mind plead for the left over blood, i shake my head as i grab a blood sucker and pop it in my mouth, i scrub the floor.

'at least remember the scent' my mind nags me, i lower my head to the ground and sniff the ground, i open my mouth, 'do it!!!' my mind screams at me to lick the blood, i feel my urges starting to take over, my body suddenly stands up and slowly walks up the stairs and down the hall, i fallow the smell of lily's blood to the room across from mine. i slowly open the door...

few things you should know,

Blood sucker: like the suckers you find at a candy store these and just made of an artificial substitute of blood for vampires, there are also blood bars which are basically chocolate bars except with artificial blood... although its not as good.

separate mind: its rare for this to occur but when a vampire is very hungry they get a screaming voice int their head which controls them and persuades them to do things, usually drink another's blood...
