Here we go! The first chapter! Before you get confused in case you don't know about Moxillia yet, Moxi's real name is Hali. Also, I'll be using everybody's real names in this, and youtube names will be like a nickname friends call them (like most people will call Patterrz 'Daniel', but Mo will call him 'Patterrz' most of the time).

Also, a quick tip/favour. If my writing is bad, please feel free to write in the comments some things I could do to make it better. I'm not scared of getting hate, since the only thing that really matters when you make something like this is that you have fun doing it, so don't worry that writing your opinion on what I should do will hurt my feeling, because it won't. I'd really honestly rather read all your guys's input and be able to improve my writing, rather then keep writing a load of crap. Thanks for reading this, and here I finally give you the first chapter!

*Hali's POV* (3 years ago)

'I have to get away.' I thought to myself.

I've been running for three days so far, and I've come close to getting caught a few times already. I realized pretty soon that it wasn't going to be enough to just get out of town. I have to make it farther.

I'll have to disguise myself, too. The running and probable lack of sustaining food will make me skinnier and my skin will probably get a bit paler, but it's worth it to get away from him. I'll pick up some hair dye, too. I hope I can make myself look different enough without doing anything drastic.

I'm startled out of my thoughts by a loud crash. I look behind me in alarm, quickly ducking into the nearest bush so I could safely see what caused it. When I look around, I see a bird flailing on the ground, stuck in some foilage. When I look up to the sky I see a bigger bird flying away with a fish, probably from the pond close by.

I carefully come out of the bush and walk towards the bird.

"It's ok, buddy. I'm going to help you get unstuck and be on your way." I say calmly to the bird.

The bird stops struggling to look at me. Assessing how much of a threat I am and watching my every move.

I slowly walk closer to the bird, careful to not make any sudden moves.

"It's going to be ok." I say in a calm tone. "I'm just going to shift some of this stuff off you."

I get next to the bird and carefully move my hands to some of the easier foilage, to remove it first. I keep saying random stuff in the calm tone to try and keep the bird from freaking out.

As my hands get right next to the bird, it starts freaking out again.

I take my hands back and wait while it calms down.

"Don't worry." I tell it. "I've gone through some tough things, too. We'll get through this together."

The bird eventually calms down again and as I get closer it stays calm this time.

"This might hurt a bit, but I'll do my best."

The bird just looks at me, and I take off some of the foilage that was just laying on top of it.

I start to shift a vine that got wrapped around the bird, and it flinches as I touch it, but doesn't freak out this time.

I work the vine off the bird and it's free. It looks at me for a little before flying away in the direction of the pond.

"There you go, have a safe life, buddy." I say, half to myself, as I watch the bird fly away.

I start running again, I can't risk staying in one place any longer.

My mind starts to wander to what happened back home- no, it's not home anymore. I need to get away from there.

"You know what? I don't want to think about it." I mutter to myself. "I need to figure out where I'm going to go." I start thinking about where to get the hair dye, and decide that I'll probably need to check a thrift shop in a week or so to let the search die down a bit.

'Geez, this whole search party thing is making it real difficult to get away.' I thought to myself bitterly. I've already had to retrace my steps twice, going back towards town a bit before branching off in a different direction.

I was getting close to the border again. It would be easier once I was in a different state, right?

***** 3 days later

Yesterday I crossed the state border and I haven't seen anything regarding me missing in the past few days. I decided that I should probably get the dye now before word reaches here about me.

I find a thrift store and go to see if they have any dye. Since this was a smallish town, it shouldn't be weird that I'm alone.

I look around, but don't see any hair dye.

"Hi. Excuse me, but do you happen to have any hair dye?" I ask the cashier.

"Sorry, ma'am. We do not." He answers.

"Ok, do you know where I could find some?." I say.

"There's a hair dresser on the other side of town. They sell natural colors and sometimes have a few different ones when they can get a hold of them." He informs me.

"Thank you." I say. As I turn to leave, I see a blue beanie.

"I'd like to buy this, please." I say, turning back to the cashier.

"That'll be $5.87." He says to me.

"Here you go." I hand him the money.

"Thank you, have a nice day." He says, taking the money.

"You, too." I say back before leaving.

I make my way across town to the hair dresser and when I walk in, I see the hair dye set up at the front of the store.

'Blonde, brown, black, natural red, blue, and orange.' I think to myself as I read all the colors they have in stock. 'The blue looks good, I'll get that.'

I grab two boxes of dye and head to the cashier. "I'd like to buy this hair dye, please." I tell the lady at the desk.

"That'll be $7.89 please, miss." She tells me.

I hand her the money and walk out after paying her.

With my beanie on and the hair dye in my backpack along with my pocket knife, clothes, money, food and water, I leave the town to continue my escape.
