Hey, I'm back with another update! Hopefully you liked the first chapter, since you're here to read more. Thank you if you gave me feedback on the previous chapter, and don't worry if you're reading this in the future because your comments will help me with whatever story I'm working on when you read this. Also, if you are here from the future, hi future person, how's it going? If you managed to come back in time to when I wrote this story, that's cool, say hi to the Doctor for me if you don't mind. Thanks. Now to the second chapter!

P.s. If you're a major animal lover, don't hate me. Remember that Hali is on the run and needs to eat, and she'd rather not die from poisonous berries. Also remember that this is a fictional story, so yeah.

*Hali's POV* (Still 3 years ago)

As I'm walking through the woods, I find a rabbit who's faced away from me eating some leaves. My food is getting low and I need to save some for backup, so I took my pocket knife and threw it after taking a moment to aim. It made its mark as I silently thank my luck that I learned to throw knives.

I quickly go up to the rabbit and retrieve my knife, making sure the rabbit is dead. I then start to skin it and put half the meat in some zip-lock bags I brought, leaving the remainder out so I could cook and eat it.

When I'm done skinning the rabbit, I look around to find some dry sticks to make a small fire with. Once I get the sticks, I make a small circle out of rocks and arrange most of the sticks in the middle like a cone. I take a few of the sticks and use my pocket knife to shave them into kindling. I set the kindling around the sticks and set them on fire with a cheap lighter I got from one of the towns, putting the rabbit meat on a spit so I can cook it.

I eat as quickly as I can while still cooking the rabbit safely and put the fire out once I'm done, setting out on my way again.

I come across a river and decide to follow it. Both so I have some sense of direction and so I have a source of water.

I decide to follow the river for a few hours before finding a place to sleep for the day.

*****

When I wake up I decide it's probably time to dye my hair, so I sit next to the river and get everything out of my pack. I just hope it covers up my natural hair.

When I'm done putting the dye in my hair, I put everything away and start walking again. I'll leave the dye in my hair for a bit before washing it out in the river.

I get hungrier and hungrier and after a while my stomach starts growling, so I start to look for sticks so I can make a fire and cook the rest of the rabbit.

When I take the rabbit out of the bag, it smells bad from being dead for so long, but it doesn't seem rotten so I put it on a stick and cook and eat it anyway.

After I'm done eating, I walk for a bit more before deciding to rinse the dye out of my hair. When I'm done, I look at my reflection in the water and decide it could have been worse I put my beanie on and turn to start walking again.

Suddenly, I hear a voice call out.

I look up in alarm and see a person a few yards away and walking towards me.
