I see the pretty green leaves on the healthy trees flicker by in my side mirror as I take a left down the dirt road. On the dirtbike I saved up for with every penny I had.
It seems like the longest road in my life. This is the road that takes me away to my next state new city. I take a right on interstate 10. As I pick up speed my min still goes back to beautiful April, leaving the only girl I'd ever truly fell for behind. Yes it was for the best she's too popular to have me as her boyfriend.
I stop at a service station to fill my tank. I grab about 50 dollars out of my wallet and an old picture falls on the concrete its faded with two people in focus. A younger version of me. A young man who looked like me, it was my dad. I say "it was better when you where with me".
I stroll into the service station. I say my number of pump. The hot young girl with dark purple hair says that be "30" dollars man". I say thank you and for the 50 dollar note over the counter. She says "have a good day". I say "you too, keep the change" she smiles at me.
I kickstart my bike. I only have a backpack and the clothes on my back.
I roar off into the quiet back road.
