Jade had been looking for a job for ages. It was getting tough to pay for her college while also looking somehow stylish. She cared a lot about her appearance. Today was her first interview she was actually genuinely hoping to go right. Jade was really good at handeling business, exactly what this job asked her to do. Organizing events. She was studying hard at college and was getting good grades. She deserved this college and the only thing that might keep her from following it was the price, so obviously she was nervous for this interview.

She hurried down the stairs of her flat, the sound of her high heels echoing through the stairway. She got her keys out of her clutch and opened the door to her car as soon as the cold air from outside hit her face. She shivered immediately, dugging her face in her scarf. Two minutes later she was sitting behind the wheel of her car, having the AC turned up all the way. She was going to be late to the interview and she hated it. She hated that she was always so late to the important stuff.

She had stressed about what she looked like for 4 hours straight, changing outfits at least a 100 times, leaving her house an enormous mess. She wanted to make a good impression on her future boss, which was going to be so much more difficult if she turned up late. It was a 30 minute drive there and her interview was in 20 minutes, 1:20 PM. If she speeded up a little more than allowed she could get there in time, but she didn't want a speeding ticket next to her college payments and rent, besides if she didn't get the job, it would only cost her money after all.

35 minutes later she arrived at a huge manor, surrounded by trees and bushes. Jade was definitely a little overwhelmed by the luxury her eyes met. She drove upon the driveway, parking her car in one of the spots specially reserved for 'guests'. She fixed her hair and checked if there was anything between her teeth before she got out. She quickly looked her watch. 1:35 PM, she wasn't extremely late but it still really bothered her. She started walking a little faster and soon arrived at the door.

Jade didn't really know if she had to knock, or if there were cameras hanging, until she found a huge button on the left side of the door. She pressed it and heard a loud ring afterwards. She ran her fingers through her wavy hair one last time before the door opened. A man, around the age of 50 probably, opened the door. He had no certain expression on his face.

"I'm here for the job interview?" Jade stated, but in came out like a question. He nodded and opened the door a little more, for her to be able to step in. "Could I take your coat?" He asked. She smiled and gave him her black coat. He dissapeared behind one of the many doors, and got back 2 minutes later. Jade's eyes wandered around the enormous house.

The floors and the walls were made out of marble, giving it a very extravagant look. In the middle of the huge house, which probably covered at least one football field, stood a glass stairway. It lead to the first and second floor of the mansion. Jade's eyes gazed around for a bit longer, before the older man had coughed to get her attention.

Jade quickly focused on the man again, slightly embarrassed by drifting off. "Your interview is with Miss. Edwards herself. She's on the first floor. Go left when you arrive, and walk down the hallway. Her name is on the door, you can't miss it." He ended his sentence with a polite nod. The brunette smiled. "Thank you very much."

She quickly ran up the stairs, since it was very large, and went left straight away, opened approximately 4 doors before she arrived at the door that had P.L. Edwards on the front of it. Jade took a deep breathe. She was now already 20 minutes later than her original appointment. She raised her arm to knock on the door. Was she gonna knock 2 times? Or 3 times? Maybe she wouldn't hear 3 times. She brought her hand to the door and knocked. 4 times.
