For you [Killua X reader short story]

"Life is nothing without you."

Today is Y/N's birthday, and the day of her surgery. Killua wasn't there. She felt a bit sad but that's okay, maybe he's busy.

But today's Saturday. Plus, the teachers at school don't give homework that often. She was starting to get a bit worried.

"I'll see you later, sweetie. Please stay with us." Y/N's mother smiled at her as she put a strand of her daughter's hair behind her ear. Y/N nodded in response.

"Goodbye." She said her final words before the nurses brought her into the operation room. Y/N's parents waited outside, panicking and thinking if their precious child is gonna survive.

Killua didn't come.

A few hours passed and the surgeon announced that the operation was a success. Y/N can live freely again. She went back home with her parents.

But, Y/N didn't feel right. She was still disappointed about the fact that Killua wasn't there to calm her down before the operation began.

When Y/N and her parents reached her house, she asked where Killua is. Her parents frowned and gave her a small note.

"Read it in your room, Y/N." Her Father said. Y/N did what her father told her to do.

She opened the letter. It was from Killua. She read it as tears flow down from her eyes. She run downstairs, because she couldn't believe what she just read.

Dear Y/N,

You asked me what I'll give you for your birthday. So, I gave you something precious to me anyone can't have. I gave you another chance to live. Like I said, Life is nothing without you.

I gave you my heart. Please take care of it for me.
