CHAPTER 5: TASTE BUDDIES

While Naruto and Shikamaru are being annoyed with the kids that they got, Chouji seems to be enjoying his time with Chouchou. "Whoa! that smells so good!" Chouchou said as she noticed a barbeque house nearby "BARBEQUEEEEE! DO YOU WANT THAT/ THATS THE BEST BARBEQUE EVER! DON'T WORRY ITS MY TREAT!" Chouji yelled. "Really, wow thank you so much" Chouchou said 'My dad has always been supportive when it comes to eating'  she giggled.

The two of them went to the barbeque house and talk with each other and it became a hard time for Chouchou since she have to keep everything as a secret. "So tell me about yourself? About the place where you came from, what's up in there?" Chouji asked. "Ahmmmm, about that, well.....It's kinda good, yeah but uhmmmm... well" Chouchou couldn't manage to lie to her dad. "Well, what? Is there something wrong there? I mean, why you guys are here? Is there a war or something in your town?" 'Oh noooo, this is bad, what am I gonna say? I couldn't tell more lies, ah better shut my mouth up' Chouchou tells herself since she don't know what to say then suddenly, she saw people entering the barbeque house. "Hey look its Kurenai right?!" She yelled 'Uh-oh, wrong move'  "How do you know her?" Chouji asked being confused since the little kid was familiar with Kurenai. "Well,....uhm.. she's famous in our town because of her genjutsu specialties...yeah" Chouchou nervously said. "Wow that's so cool" Chouji amazingly said and continued eating. Kurenai and Asuma went to them but Chouchou just stared at Asuma since that was her first time seeing him. "Hey, is there something wrong?" Asuma asked Chouchou and held the chin of the little girl. Chouchou suddenly brought herself back to normal and answered "No, nothing". "Hey Chouchou, this is Kurenai sensei and Asuma sensei. This is Chouchou a girl from a town outside the village, she was assigned to me by the Hokage" Chouji explained. "Oh I see" Kurenai said and gave the little girl a smile. "So you guys seems to enjoy each other company huh? She looks like a girl version of you Chouji haha" Asuma said and laughed but Chouchou still cant take her eyes off Asuma, she was shocked upon seeing him. 'So this is the guy that my dad, uncle Shikamaru and aunt Ino are talking about. He seems to be a nice guy, I hope Mirai would have the chance to see him, I know how she wanted to see him so bad, I felt bad that she couldn't have the chance to see Asuma even in this time, I felt so bad that she couldn't even hug his dad' Chouchou thought and started to feel lonely

"What's wrong li'l girl, why are you sad?" Asuma asked her when he noticed Chouchou. "Oh, its nothing, I'm fine, it's just that can I ask a favor from you?" Chouchou said. "A favor? From me?" Asuma asked pointing to himself confusedly. "Go on, do the favor for the little girl" Kurenai said. "Okay, so what favor is that?" Asuma asked. "Well, can I hug you? please....." Chouchou said, "Awww, sure, that's just a simple thing" Asuma said as he hugged the her, Chouchou was teary that time. 'Mirai, this hug is for you, your dad is such a nice man', I know you really wanted to hug him so much, I hope you're here' Chouchou thought, "You are such a sweet little girl, your parents raised you very well" Kurenai said and smiled. "Why did you asked for a hug?" Asuma asked "Its just that I can see my dad in you" Chouchou answered "I guess your dad is a very nice and kind hearted man to raise a sweet loving daughter like you" Asuma said and gave Chouchou a wide  smile before they left.

"Asuma sensei is a really nice guy, isn't he?" Chouji said. "Yeah he is" Chouchou answered. "Aside from that, he's lucky to have a woman like Kurenai sensei who is also sweet and loving. Ah, I know I shouldn't be saying this to kid like you but I m feeling so hopeless in finding someone to love, who needs girlfriend when you have food, besides nobody wants a fat guy like me" Chouji said. "Yeah you are right about food is life but what you said about love is wrong, you don't have t be hopeless because not everyone wants a slim and fit guy, just like in food we have different tastes" Chouchou said and smiled. "Where those words are coming from? you are just a kid, how can you be a love expert?" Chouji asked but Chouchou just smiled and walked away. "Come on! Lets find another food stops here" She said, Chouji just followed her and left the barbeque house. 'Don't be hopeless dad, just wait for the right time, trust me' she told to herself and smiled
