Once Development Camp was finally over I was anxious for October to be here. In fact I was desperate to play with my new teammates and play my first game in the NHL.

It was now September. I was one month closer to playing my first game in the big league. My family and I talked every now and then. At this time I had found somewhere to live in. It was this beautiful apartment located in downtown Calgary, near Princess's Island Park. I loved the location since I would be able to go for a jog around the park every morning. It was autumn but that didn't stop me from running around the park. I was getting used to this city. And to be quite honest I loved it. "Well, it's still not as beautiful as Holland Landing" I thought to myself. Being so far away from home made me miss my little hometown so much.
My friends, (that I made while at
development camp) would come and visit me every now and then so I didn't feel so lonely.

It felt like it was only January. Weeks would seem like they took ages to be completed. Nights were long and boring. I was really tired of this situation.Until......
