I realized what they were doing. The man in red took my arms and put them behind my back and blindfolded me. I saw a wave of black wash over my eyes. Slowly I could feel the agony as they threw me into the cage. Never to see the light of day. I heard the door close and a demonic laugh coming from outside of these four walls that consumed me. The only time I was let out was to be taken advantage of for money. The fact that I had no control of the horrible things that they did to me. Hopefully my story will be heard...
Sometimes when I am in the cage, I dream of fresh cut grass and the smell of intoxicating flowers. The bittersweet smell that roses give off and the sweet sound of the butterflies wings beating as it prepares to take flight. I hear a voice and I choose to believe if it is reality or not. I choose to believe that it is real. To feel something other than the beatings. To feel like I have someone in this cage with me, someone that cares. But soon I am forced to let go of this dream and be moved back to reality. The sound of the cage opening makes me fully aware. I slither away from the opening away from the man in red. Slowly he grabs an arm caked with bruises and forces me out of the cage, I cry in pain but my cries will never be heard until now. To be dressed up as a doll for others pleasure. Surely not a life for a 16 year old girl.
I was trapped again. After many cruel, heart breaking beatings they shackled me. THEY FLIPPEN SHACKLED ME. Really. I was sitting in the dark room shackled contemplating my thoughts. I was stupid for following Angela. Stupid. She fooled me. The last thing I need on Earth is a "Friend" to back stab me. No, she was not a friend, she was one of THEM!
I woke up to the sound of sirens, the colors red, blue and white flickered in my eyes. The sound of men yelling. Screaming more like. My arms legs and everything hurt. Scabs and bruises were throbbing from my last beating. The men picked me up and I started to whimper. They had hit a fresh bruise. Then everything went black. I could feel the vehicle moving while I slept. Was this it, was I really free. I should really not think so soon, my head hurts. I began to dream, the moon was silver on the back drop of my mind. I woke up again this time blinded. The room was filled with flowers. Bright pinks, purples, and maroons. The colors were intoxicating, the roses were pretty. They surrounded my hospital room. Then my lids closed again.
