5 Years

First Day

Riley's pov
Today was my first day out the hospital, and I was watching the girls all by myself. It was hard being a single mother but I'm doing ok. I just wished Liam was here for his kids. He didn't even get to see them once. I started to cry at the thought of Liam.
???: are you okay?
Riley: Lucas?
Lucas: yeah its me. Are you okay?
Riley: I'm fine
Lucas: I can tell when your lying
I sighed
Lucas: want to talk about it?
I nodded
Riley: it's hard. Losing Liam, being a single mother, and the thought of my children never knowing their father.
By now I was sobbing. He just gave me a hug.
Lucas: it'll be ok. Do you want me to stay and help with the kids.
I nodded and he smiled.
Lucas: so... what do you want to do?
I shrugged
Riley: we could watch a movie. (I know, I know so cliche)
He laughed
Lucas: Okay, what do you want to watch?
Riley: what about The Fault In Our Stars?
He put the movie in

About half way through the movie I noticed Lucas staring at me. I smiled and he did too.
Lucas: your beautiful
I blush. He started to lean in and I did too

Maya: hey Riles.
We both turn and see Maya. I begin to blush. Lucas almost kissed me and I almost kissed back. Wait! Do I like lucas!? I can't I just lost Liam.
