Kamini's POV:

We both agreed after a few more moments of him trying to convince me that this was for the best.

We were now in a coach on our way to my new home where Nina was.

I can't believe I've been gone for a week without my sister!

It was still night time when we pulled up to a very large mansion. It looked as if it was the queen's get away spot.

Or if she would ever take a vacation, this would be the house.

There were large black gates with a soldier guarding each side.

They were British soldiers, I could tell by the red uniform and black tall fur hats.

"Who lives here?" I asked without facing him.

He leaned forward to look out the window as well.

He tightened his hand around his cane.

"You do, and your sister." he said.

"Hmm...this is a very big mansion." I commented looking at the expansion of land on the side of the mansion.

"Indeed?" He seemed intrigued by my answer.

"Yes, indeed." I mocked his voice.

He shot me a glare.

I smiled warmly in response, knowing that I still have the ability to get him flustered.

"I have another request of you Miss Zacharia." He said advisedly.

I raised my eyebrows continuing to look out the window.

"Oh, really? Like what?" I asked.

Is he changing his mind about what he said earlier and wants to actually work things out?

I turned to face him just in case.

"I need you to make sure that you keep this only between you and I. I don't want any gossips to catch a hold of this. Heavens know what my enemy would do with this sort of information." He whispered.

So he wanted me to protect his face?

I felt anger boil inside of me as I remained silent not answering his question.

After a moment passed he sighed.

"Kamini, you aren't the only one who feels like this. I honestly haven't done anything far worse than this." He explained.

I only felt more irritated as he spoke on.

"Daniel! If you cared for someone then you wouldn't mind making sacrifices. This isn't your decision anyway, I am an independent woman who makes her own decisions!" I shouted.

"Lower your voice, people are sleeping around here. Also, what did you decide then, since you're an independent woman?" He scoffed.

I felt very vulnerable right now and that I could say anything.

"I decided that I wanted to be in a relationship with you, no matter how dangerous it is. I'm willing to go through those hard times with you,"

I grabbed his hand into mine.

"and be there for you when your business situations doesn't work out. Just allow me to be here for you." I said seriously looking into his steel blue eyes.

His gaze burned into mine.

He rubbed his hair back and sighed.

He then looked at me.
