Jane and I ran to the gates and hid behind a statue. I explain the plan to her, "Jane, tell them that the princess has gone missing and that should buy you enough time to raise the gate and for me to escape." Her sad deep blue eyes glistened like stars and said, "I will miss you, dearie. You've always been like a daughter to me," and places a soft kiss on my forehead. Her words touch me, and we embrace tightly, "Nothing will ever separate the love that we have." We let go, and I get on my horse as she walks to the guards. As soon as I see the gates raising, I was gone. The night air blew in my face that seems to take my anxiety away with it. I stop my horse near a stream where my brother and I performed ship races. I scoop some water and splash it on my face. When I open my eyes, a man covered in dark clothes was standing right in front of me! I jump back and ask, "Who are you? State your business!" His caramel eyes stared at me, and I fix my hood over my mouth to hide my identity. I see he had my horse's string and grabbed it from his hand, "How dare you try to steal from me!" My purse slips from my arm, and he picks it off the ground and gives it back to me. I slowly take it and say, "Thank you."

Suddenly, we hear my knights shouting nearby. He jumps on his horse and says, "Give me your hand." I step back and say, "How am I sure you won't kill me?" He says urgently, "You're going to have to trust me." The Knights' shouting was getting louder, and I didn't want to go back. I pull on his hand and cling to him as we rode away.
