- August 8th, 2016 -

It's hot as hell. I'm sitting on the stairs, outside of my apartment. My door is wide open, only because I need airflow and so I can run my black ass inside if I hear gunshots from outside. I looked down at my watch and scoffed at the time : 1:42am. I need to get that air conditioner fixed asap. I sighed before placing my hands over my face, cuffing my cheeks, and dragging them down slowly. Oh, my name is Xavier. I'm short for my age, but that doesn't matter. I just turned nineteen, four months ago on the ninth. You guessed it, I'm an aries.

I pushed myself off of the steps, and turned over my heels before heading up the stairs and into my apartment. I closed the door, locked it, and took my cell phone out from my back pocket. Two missed calls. That's what I get for leaving my phone on silent. I unlocked my phone before squinting a bit, peering through my glasses at my phone. Levi. I pressed a few quick buttons on my iPhone 6s before placing my headphones in my ears, connecting it to my phone, and listening to it ring. The phone rung about 3-4 times before Levi answered the phone.

"Hello?" Levi asked, with his raspy voice.

"Yeah, you called me about 15 minutes ago?" I replied.

He chuckled a bit over the phone, before speaking. "You mean 50, minutes ago. Math major."

I took my glasses off, placed them on the nearby table, and walked over to the couch before rubbing my eyes.

"It's late, okay? Was it important?" I groaned with a slight laugh at the end. He always teased me when I messed something up math related. Math major. I told him I was going to be a Math Major when we start college in a few weeks, he won't let me hear the end of it.

"I was wondering if you wanted to come over, watch some movies or something." He spoke nonchalantly.

I began to whine because I'm tired, and I get a bit cranky when I'm sleepy. "Why did you have to wait so late, you could of called at like 7.. You know Levi, sometimes I rea-.."

He cut me off, saying "I have food." .... There were moments of silence before I sighed and finally spoke. "You have to come get me."

He laughed from the other end of the phone, and teased across the phone. "I'll be there in 25 minutes, don't forget your heels!" The phone beeped a few times, essentially insinuating that Levi had ended the call. I didn't even get to say anything back... It's okay, I have something for him. Why the fuck am I so short. 5'4. Really?? I should go brush my teeth before going. OH, Levi is my bestfriend, we've known each other for about 7-8 months now. We met at a Pokemon Go pokestop, and thus our friendship was born. I know it's a silly way to meet, but it was worth it. He better not be late this time, or I'm going to go to sleep.

I yawned before sliding my feet across the carpet, and going off to start getting dressed, and freshening up. I packed a small back of belongings, because I doubt I'm going home after this. He's gonna be too tired, and I'll whine, so it'll be pointless if he tries to carry me to the car. We're close. Like, brothers or something. However, he's over 6'0.. I don't know the exact measurements. I quickly freshened up a bit, and after about 20 minutes, he arrived. He was early, that's unusual.

- 20 minutes later -

I heard the engine outside, and my phone soon enough rung, a guarantee that he was outside. I grabbed my keys, made sure my apartment was clean and intact, cut my lights off, grabbed my phone and headphones from the table, and locked up before heading outside. I maneuvered around the other cars, and into the passenger seat of Levi's car. He has a Lamborghini. His parents are rich, and he's spoiled. However, you'd never know if you just spoke to him, he's a down to earth kind of guy. Great friend to have around.

"Ayyyeeee Xavierrrrrr." he drug out my name, and his speech was slurred, after he did a funny little hand dance in my direction. I smiled and said "Hey" before laughing. He noticed my bag, and apparently thought it was the perfect time to joke. After turning the pulling the car out of the parking space, and heading off in the direction of his condo, which was a rough 25-35 minute drive. I wondered why he wasn't going to his apartment, which was only 10-15 minutes away, I didn't question it thought because I am too tired.

"So you planned to just crash at my place, huh? Little freeloader." Levi laughed, and turned the music on a low, yet soothing Beyonce - Formation. Yes, this was my song. I looked to him and grinned before answering, "Yeah. I'm gonna be too tired to go home, so I came prepared." He looked at me from the side of his eyes and laughed before shrugging his shoulders, accepting my self invitation to spend the night. I started bobbing my head to the music, as Levi did, good thing he was a good driver. I can't concentrate when my song is on, and driving? Oh no. That's like playing Pokemon Go and driving.. WHICH IS NOT SAFE.. unlessyouseeararepokemon....

Levi got us to his condo in about 30 minutes, turned off the music, and stepped out of the car as I did after him. We gathered our things from the car, he set it in auto-control, and it drove itself into his garage and parked. He pressed another small button that closed the garage door. On his phone, he cut his car off, and locked it. Thing about Levi, he's very humble with what he has, and selfless. We made our way inside of his condo, and moved immediately to the couch. He turned on the Netflix, before escaping to his bedroom to get in his pajamas. I was already in mine, and curled up on the couch, awaiting his return.

Levi walked back into the room after making us popcorn and slushies. Yes, he has his own slushie machine. Lowkey jelly, but it's cool.

"So what do you wanna watch?" He asked, and I rolled my eyes over to him.

"Nigga, you didn't have a movie in mind when you called??" We both laughed and he spoke again.

"I did, but you're just gonna fall asleep if it's not funny. Family Guy it is." That's a show that both of us love, great choice.

Family Guy was loading, and then there was a knock on the door. Who could be visiting at this hour?.. I was confused and looked over to Levi. He looked just as confused as I was, shrugged, and headed for the door. Then the knocks on the door grew a bit louder, abruptly. I jumped a bit, and he paused before getting the door. He moved to the closet, reached to the very top, and grabbed a gun. My eyes widened, and he looked at me, pushing his finger at his mouth. He was saying "shh", and I nodded, clutching the pillow a bit. He went to the door, and looked in the peep hole, with his pistol aimed at the door.

;; What the fuck.. why did I agree to this.. ;; I thought to myself before he'd gripped the door knob. He yanked the door open an-.. WHAT THE HELL!!
