There is only One Direction
By Tylea Marie
It was my first One Direction concert. I went with my best friend Ellie. We were the biggest “Directioners” in the world (at least that’s what we thought). We got to the arena early so we wouldn’t have to wait in a two mile-long line. We were able to bypass it because we had Backstage Meet-and-Greet passes, so we were automatically able to get in first. When we got in, a security guard looked at us and asked “Are you Tylea and Ellie?” We were puzzled. “Yes, we are . . .” He smiled. “Well girls, today is your lucky day, because since you girls have your special passes with you, you get to go on a special dinner date with the boys!” We fan-girled crazily, jumping up and down, screaming, and tearing up. “GIRLS! Calm down...!” the guard said. “The boys are waiting to meet you guys”.
We walked down a long hallway, turned, went down another long hallway, turned again, and finally walked into a big room. This room had a couch, a big flat-screen TV, a gaming area, a kitchen, an intercom, a bed, a bathroom, and a button on the wall we couldn’t identify. The security guard turned and looked at us. “OK girls,” you’ll have to wait here for awhile until the boys come. You have everything you need here. If you need anything just press the button and someone will be here to assist you momentarily.” We were surprised. “Are we the only ones that have to wait here?” I asked. “Yes because you two are the only ones who paid $500 dollars to get these passes. We want you guys to feel special” he smiled. “Oh my God . . . Really? We’re the only ones, Tylea!” Ellie exclaimed! “I know!” I yelled. The security guard rolled his eyes and walked out of the door and closed it. We looked at each other in excitement, and started to explore the room. We soon made our way to the kitchen, finding everything a kid ever wanted, like candy, soda, popcorn, everything! We grabbed all the food and drinks we could, and we sat upon the couch and just watched TV.
About an hour later, we heard a voice on the intercom speaker. “Tylea and Ellie? You there?” I got up and pressed the button, and answered “Yes.” “Ok girls, you ready to meet your heroes?” said the disembodied voice. “Yes!” I said shakily and excitedly. “Ok girls, the boys are on their way.” Ellie and I jumped up and started to clean up our mess, and we ran to the bathroom to clean ourselves up, and to make ourselves look as beautiful as possible. Five minutes later there was a knock on the door, and we looked over and we saw our heroes. First Liam came in, then Niall, then Zayn, then Louis, then finally Harry. Ellie and I were in the bathroom almost crying with excitement, but we didn’t want to look like crazed fools, so we took deep breaths to calm ourselves. Ellie bravely walked out of the bathroom and said shakily “Hi, my name is Ellie. Nice to meet you guys” and Louis (Ellie’s favorite One Direction member) walked up to her and shook her hand, gave her a hug, and said (in that British accent everyone loves) “Hello Love. I am Louis Tomlinson, the oldest and the strongest.” They all laughed. “At least that’s what he thinks…” Zayn said jokingly. Then all the boys introduced themselves to Ellie. “Where’s your friend? Tylea, right?” Niall asked. “Oh she’s in the bathroom trying to figure out how to come out and meet you guys without shaking and freaking out” Ellie said. “Oh! Well maybe instead of her coming to us… we should go to her! That might help a little bit and make her feel special right?” Liam suggested. “Great idea!” Niall exclaimed. So, all of the boys sneaked over to the bathroom door, and Ellie opened the door. They all yelled “SURPRISE!” I jumped and started to smile and blush. Harry walked over and gave me a big hug. “Hello there, darling. My name is Harry! I love cats and I have the hottest curls.” Everyone nodded in agreement. His smile was like an angel, so dreamy and charming. I could barely speak, but I managed to introduce myself. “Hello guys! My name is Tylea.” I smiled the best I could, trying not to look awkward. They all introduced themselves to me, and then we sat on the couch for awhile, talking about ourselves and random stuff. We joked around, laughed, smiled, and did funny stuff, just like a group of good friends would.
