Kurloz x reader A Dark Night

Chapter 1

*beep beep BEEP * The alarm clock was relentless and painful to y/n ears this early in the morning. y/n sighed stretching and glaring at the alarm that had woken her from a peaceful slumber. she stood up stretching once more before wiping her sleepy eyes and making her way down the stairs and into the oddly empty kitchen. "mom, mom?" she called.  No response. "typical" she sighed, Looking at the fridge where a note was written in scruffy handwriting  'sorry darling, off on another business trip, be gone for a few weeks, toast in the toaster and money for necessity's  on the side , lots of love mom xx' . At the mention of toast y/n's face seemed to lighten. she grabbed a plate from the nearby cupboard, and placed it by the toaster hoping for two nice pieces of toast to be ready and waiting........this was not the case however as she pulled out two burnt black pieces "at least she tried this time" y/n said quietly.and made her way back upstairs "wasn't hungry anyway" she said to herself as she headed into her room and prepared for the long most likely uneventful day ahead.

y/n smiled feeling exhausted from her long shift at the pembe-gul cafe. she had to work overtime again and was forced to clean and lock up after a long and excruciating game of rock- paper-sizzors, a game which ended with her admitting defeat, as her coworker tom smiled and hurried out of the door cheerfully waving bye to her. y/n laughed at the thought of it as she locked up the front of the cafe. she as much as she hated to admit it had grown rather fond of tom, he always seemed to make the workday seem alot  faster with his random puns and smart comments. That never ceased to make her laugh. y/n pulled her hoodie up and looked at the stars. thinking to herself 'how beautiful i may just take the scenic route tonight ,through the park'.  little did she know this might not have been the best idea...............
