They heard crackling around the they formed and circle back to back and pointed out there weapons. They all had guns and all the kids were in the middle of the circle so they would be safer. At first they saw a person pointing a gun at them about to fire but Maddy shot him first. And then Skylark killed a person and there were no more people after that. So the the group ran and ran as fast as they could. They came across a small city that wasn't even touched but they decided not to stay because that could be the next target.
