The "It" Girl
At school she had it all
The boy, The smile, the friends, and the grades
At home she lost it all,
The memory kicks in, and the fake smile fades
At school, perfection is what you saw.
Her perfect posture, and she is the girl they know all about
At home, she was just a lost girl
Her shoulders slump, and her tears let out.
At school, she was a model of perfection.
Girls were jealous, and the boys craved her
At home, she was a victim of "discipline"
They wanted her perfect, and thought abuse was the cure.
At school she was the "It" Girl
flawless skin, teachers pet, and the Golden One
At home, she was the beaten girl
Bruised skin, mothers first, and she was done.
At school she had a memorial
Flowers, frowns, and crying friends
At home, she was finally the good child
As her mother beat her, till her last breath ends
At school and at home she took her final bow
And the "It" girl is nothing now

Just because She/He Smiles, dose not mean that they are happy, or even okay. Treat everyone with kindness, you may just be giving them the hope, of living another day.
A simple smile, or hello. Is never takin for granted by someone who dosnt recieve them very often.
