The car roared its way down the highway as the girls hit the road again, this time going south. Norah and Greer wanted to visit the old family home before they headed to their next destination. Which no one really knew what that was, So Jody stayed back with Ben and Clair to help come up with a plan, and Norah and Greer set out early the next morning towards Lawrence Kansas, where they learned that their grandmother had died when Norah's dad, Sam, was just a baby.

"I don't think I have ever been in a car this much before" Norah said as she put her bare legs up on the dashboard.

"You never went on a road-trip, or even a camping trip?" Greer asked looking at her through sunglasses.

"Not really, we're kind of....city folk." She replied.

Greer laughed, "Is that why you don't have a license yet?"

Norah looked at her through her own set of glasses, but didn't say anything.

"Well come on....out with it..." Greer encouraged. "Because most sixteen year olds are dying to have the freedom of a car at their fingertips.

"I don't know." She started, "I guess I just...never really had the need. My grandparents make sure I have the ability to go wherever I want whenever I want, really...so..."

"But that isn't the only reason why..."

"No...I just... "She let out a huff of air "Fine." She put her legs down and turned to face her cousin. "I'm afraid to drive."

"Hahahahahahaha" Greer laughed. "What?! Why?"

"Don't laugh at me!" Norah said turning back around, obviously feeling self-conscience.

"Okay, Okay. I'm sorry. But seriously, why are you afraid?"

"One summer, I went on a Sunday drive with my grandparents, you know...just to get out of the house. Usually you know, we have drivers that take us anywhere we want to go, but this time, grandpa decided he wanted to do the driving. So, there we were driving through the country side listening to some Bobby Darin..." She paused. "You want to talk about a portal of time long forgotten..." She smiled, slightly. "Anyway, Grandpa turned and looked at Adele... for half a second... and he lost control. The car swayed from one side of the road to another....until it just flipped.... landing us in the woods upside down.

"But I mean obviously, everyone was fine." Greer noted on a positive side.

"Not at first...She paused again staring out into the empty Kansas space. "But yeah, ever since then, I just never wanted to drive."

Greer was quiet and thoughtful...but only for a minute. She suddenly pulled over to the side of the road.

"Whoa! What the Hell are you doing?!" Norah yelled at her, seemingly afraid.

"Get out." Greer said as she unbuckled and opened the door.

"What?"

"Get out! You're driving."

"Greer, we could go to jail...."

"We could also die, trying to trap the devil, and I sure as hell ain't gonna have it on my conscience that my baby cousin doesn't know how to drive, so get out!" She yelled from the back of the car, waiting for her to get out.

"Greer.... I really don't want to..." Norah said staying in her seat.

Greer leaned against the car, "That's fine; we'll just die out here in this wasteland...."

Norah huffed and grunted under her breath as she got out of the car.... "Are you always so accustomed to getting what you want!?" she asked as she walked by Greer who was laughing.
