Surprise! I'm not dead! (PLEASE DON'T HATE ME)

Chapter 8 (part 2)

RECAP:

Growling, I crumpled up the note, and threw it across the room. I was about to turn to talk to my men about the investigation we were about to start, when I noticed something from across the room. Standing up, and slowly pushing my chair behind me, I steadily walked across the room. Hesitantly bending down to pick up the crumpled note, and holding the note up to the light, I saw writing inside of it.

Running my thumb along the edge, I discovered the perfectly sealed line, and pried my finger through it, causing the note to open completely. Looking at the newly discovered writing, I growled twice. Once when I caught the smell, and realized it was written using the blood of one of my men, and the second time, when I had read it.

Let's level the playing games, shall we? You can talk to our mate while she's awake, so I can talk to her while she's asleep. It's only fair. Game on, brother

Roaring with rage, I ripped the note in half, smashed it together, and chucked it at the wall. I stormed passed my men, who were sending me looks ranging from confusion to sympathy, and slammed my office door closed. Briskly walking down the stairs, I went down one of the halls to Angelo's room, and entered without knocking. Taking a seat next to the bed, I tried to calm myself before looking at my best friend.

"Sebastian." Angelo muttered, "Sebastian, Sebastian, Sebastian!" he started to struggle in his sleep, loosening the bandages the medical team had given him. As his struggles became more frantic, I grabbed both of him arms and held him in place,

"Angelo! Angelo! Sebastian's not here! Angelo, calm down!" Angelo calmed instantly, his wolf having most likely heard his Alpha's command. Even when the man was unconscious, his wolf still had some control.

"He's been like this for the past hour." Taylor's voice spoke from the other side of the room. She was leaning against the doorframe to the bathroom, wiping her hands with a towel she had just washed; she rushed over when Angelo started struggling again,

"Angelo, Angelo" he voice soothed him, causing him to relax, "No one name Sebastian is here, its okay." Angelo seemed to fall into a deeper sleep, causing Taylor and I both to relax. I looked at her, shocked to see such concern on her face for someone she hated and accused of kidnapping, yesterday. As If sensing my eyes, her head shot up, and a defensive glare was sent my way,

"What? I said I was going to kill him for kidnapping me, not someone else!" she said. I was about to get up, when she stopped me.

"Who is Sebastian?" At that question, I froze, "I know he was the one to attack Angelo and the others, but there's something else, isn't there?"

Hesitating, I opened my mouth, "It's a long story."

"I've got time." She retorted, gesturing at Angelo. My eyes met hers, and I knew she was determined to find out, and one way or another she eventually would.

"Sebastian is-"

Angelo P.O.V.

I woke up, turned over, and was face-to-face with Taylor. She opened her eyes, and I cringed, expecting her to yell at me for sleeping in the same bed, but instead she smiled a breathtaking smile, and kissed my nose. My mouth opened in shock, and she giggled, before whispering a "Good morning, handsome!" and getting out of bed.
