For the longest time I spent my life held up in my bedroom playing video games, and that was pretty much it. I was about to be a sophomore, and all I ever did when I got home from school was sit down at my duel monitor set up and buckle in for hours of gaming. That was it. Well, almost.
The year before though...that was one crazy year. It started in October. I went through a break up with this girl and well..it sucked. She was the first girl I'd ever dated,as I was new to that whole LGBT+ thing. In fact, it was the reason why my last relationship had ended. I came out to my boyfriend as bi, and he got so creeped out that we broke up.
In fact, thinking back, my relationship with her felt a lot better than the one with the next one I'm about to tell you about. Before we get there however, I'd like to go into our relationship.
Her name was...we'll go with Georgia. We met the first day of school. I'd met this one girl, we'll call her Alice, in biology first period. We were at the same lab table, and we both were freshmen, so we really hit it off. At lunch I was lost. I'd only just moved to the state earlier that summer, and while everyone there had friends from eighth grade to sit with at lunch, all I had was Alice from bio. So when I saw her sitting at a table with six other girls, I rushed over and sat down.
There I met a bunch of girls, most of which I can't remember the names of. The only girl I can remember meeting clearly was Georgia. We hit it off right away, us insulting ourselves by saying how much of a loser we were. She then said that she was the weirdest girl anyone would ever meet. I laughed it off and told her that she had some competition, that I was the weirdest person I knew. After that I kept sitting with them at lunch, and Georgia and I came to be great friends.
Flash forward, it's September. The first football game is about to happen, and I'd never been to one before. Georgia came over to my house after school. My mom gave me some money for our tickets, and then dropped us off at our school a little before six.
We didn't actually watch the game at all. Us and a group of Georgia's friends all hung out under the bleachers until about halfway into the game, when we went into the school to hang out in the band room, since one guy Dave was in band. After a while of talking, Georgia and I kept flirting slightly, and it was...one of the most exhilarating nights of my life.
As we all walked back outside, our friend...Isaac asked me why I was being so protective of Georgia. I shrugged it off and blushed a little, adverting all eye contact. After another ten minutes of playing stupid games, someone said something about how Georgia was their property, and I glared at them. They laughed, and that time Georgia said, "Why do you care, it's not like we're dating or anything."
I'd grumbled, and she laughed. A few minutes after that, I asked her the question that I had wanted to ask for the past few weeks. She said yes.
