Chapter 1: The Assignment

Jc's POV
I walk into the worn down school hallway, my black Vans threatening to trip me.

I walk into my first class English, the teacher being so old, not even knowing I'm on my phone, listening to music though my sweatshirt. 

"Jc!" She trembles throwing her thin wooden stick at the chalkboard because she insisted that she wouldn't use a Smart Board.

"Yes Miss Wilwaki?" I say, not surprised she's still not married after 78 years of her life have passed.

"Can you go outside and clap the erasers please" she says as the whole class looks down to insure she won't change her mind.

"Sure" I say rolling my eyes as she doesn't notice with her 2 inch thick glasses on.

I go outside and clap the erasers for what? 40 minutes? Well, their extra clean I think to myself, faintly hearing the school bell ring from outside, I go back into her classroom, and pick up my books to go to science class.

I take a seat away from the shyest, and sweetest, yet awkward as hell kid in the whole school, Kian Robert Lawley, how do I know his middle name? He insists everyone call him with his middle name.

"Today we will be doing a project, specially a baby project, everyone will be paired with the opposite sex, with one exception, we ran our of girls, anyway, each will be given a carton of eggs, for the next week you will be spending every night and day together to keep your baby safe.." I tone out through my headphones.

"Oh and Jc, since you don't bother to listen you'll be with Kian" I see kian look at me with his upper lip contracted to show me is top row of teeth and nothing else, his headgear around his head like a convertible without the cloth top

Shit. I think to myself.

"How was school today babe?" Lia asks smiling and pecking me on my lips.

"All good" I smile back, putting my arm around her, "except my partner for the baby project is Kian.." I trail off as she looks at me with her big brown eyes.

"Oh.. Well maybe you'll make a friend.. But isn't it supposed to be with a girl.. Even tho I'm kinda glad it isn't" she says with a bit of jealous in her voice, I laugh.

"Calm down. Ill be nice, but I don't want to make new friends, oh I got to go to kians house, baby project," I say and lock my lips to her then squeezing into my car, driving to my house, packing a bag, then to kian's

"Hey Jc" he says acting totally normal and in cute clothes.

"Uh hey." I say waking into his house and taking off my vans.

"Oh right" he laughs taking my jacket off for me. "I'm not awkward, I only pretend to be at school." He says laughing causing me to giggle at his cute laugh.

"But why tho?" I ask in all seriousness.
