Chapter 4

HARRY'S P.O.V.

My heart sank at the new information about my wife. I pushed past Louis and ran downstairs desperate to see her and make sure she's okay. I got in my car and speed to the hospital going 80 miles an hour in a 50 lane. When I got there I jumped out of my car and ran inside. Ethan was the first person I saw. "What happened?" I asked, not knowing if I wanted to hear the answer. He looked down from my face not answering.

Darcy came into the waiting room with a purple cast on her arm and tears running down her face. When she saw me she ran and hugged me. "Honey please tell me what happened." I said softly.

She stuttered as she spoke. "M-mom was still scared of you b-because you yelled at me like her father yelled at her so she took me t-to the car and went to pick up Ethan to take him home. T-that's when it happened," she cried harder, "the truck was speeding and it hit her side if the car. This is all my fault daddy."

I wiped the tears from my face and held Darcy tight. I beckoned for Ethan to come over for a hug too. All three of us stood they with our arms wrapped around each other. An hour later the doctor came out. "Are you Mr.Styles?" He asked me, his voice emotionless.

I stood up and nodded. "Mrs. Audri Styles is in a coma, she hit her head pretty hard. Her left foot was broken along with three ribs." he spoke once more.

I nodded again, unable to speak. Darcy cried into Ethan's shoulder. "Can I see her?" I asked, my voice cracking.

He nodded a simple yes before leading Darcy, Ethan, and I to a room. I hesitantly opened the door to see a beautiful girl laying broken in a hospital bed. I fell to my knees beside her and grasped her small hand in mine. "Baby please wake up. Please. I'm sorry for yelling. I'm sorry for scaring you. I'm sorry for being a terrible husband. I should have treated you better babe. Please don't leave me." I whispered.

The heart monitor beeped faster with my touch. I weakly smiled knowing her heart beat fast for me. I looked over at Darcy and Ethan. He looked at her the same way I looked at Audri, with love and compassion. He held her tightly in his arms with small tears falling down his face. I looked back to my motionless wife laying in the bed. This is all my fault, I thought, I shouldn't have yelled. A nurse knocked on the door before sticking her head in. "I'm sorry sir but visiting time is over."

I kissed Audri's forehead before taking the kids home. I prayed that night before falling asleep. That should have been me...
