You're The Only One

Chapter 2

I fought to get away. "NO! STOP! LET ME GO!" I screamed before they gagged me. I squirmed as much as I could. I tried slamming them with my tail but they pinned it down. I screamed through the gag as tears flowed down my face.

I woke up sobbing. I felt arms wrap around me. I hugged the person back, thinking it was V. Then she spoke, "It's okay. Jeez what did you dream about."

It wasn't V. It was simon. I screamed and pushed him off of me and onto the floor. My instinct kicked in and I transformed into my wolf form and jumped out the open window.

As I hit the pavement I reverted back to human form. I started running to V's house. As I ran I heard my front door open and Simon yelling at me to stop. I tried to calm myself so I could think. I ducked behind a house and sank to the ground. I steadied my breathing and stopped my shaking.

"HEY!" I heard Simon yell. I jumped up ready to run again but he grabbed my arm. The touch reminded me of my dream and I squirmed and fought but he kept a hold of me.

"Calm down! It's okay." He soothed. I calmed down a little but still fought to release his grip.

'V!' I screamed in my head. A while back I created a telepathic link with her in case of an emergency. Simon let go and I stumbled forward. I turned around to look at him.

He looked genuinely concerned. "Stop it." I said.

"Stop what?" Simon asked.

"With that look. Why do you look concerned when you're not?" I questioned.

"What are you talking about? I am concerned! You were sobbing and then out of nowhere you screamed and pushed me! Then you turned into a... a dog!" He yelled.

"A wolf!" I growled. Just then V came dashing around the corner screaming my name. She grabbed Simon by the collar and threw him backward. She rushed up to me asking questions a mile a minute.

After she calmed down I told her what happened. Then I realized something. "How did you get into my house and why?" I asked.

"Your window was open and we heard you screaming so we busted down the door. We ran to your room to find you screaming and crying in your sleep. You know the rest." Simon explained.

"You had the dream again. Didn't you?" V asked. I nodded and she shook her head. "We need to fix that."

"Don't you think I know that?! But I have no idea how. It comes every time I sleep! I can't even forget it!" I practically screamed.

"Okay calm down. You're going to stay at my house so I can watch you. And when I'm at school Simon here will watch you. Isn't that right simon?" She asked simon.

"Uh I guess?" He said.

"V! You know this is a bad idea!" I screamed.

"Well I think it will work." She said and grabbed me and Simon. She pulled us along to her house.
