Avery's POV:
"10..9..8..7..6..5..4..3..2..1..HAPPY BIRTHDAY CALEB!!"
I was the first to give him a hug. He laughs. "Thank you Avery" I smile up at him. "Well, make a wish!" Ms Katie says. He hesitates and then blows out all the candles. "Yay woo hoo!" Everyone claps. "How does it feel to be a teen now?" I ask. "It feels pretty great" he says as he flashes me that perfect smile. Whenever he smiles like that I get butterflies. "CAKE CAKE CAKE!" Hayley yells. "Relax monkey " Mr. Billy says as he cuts the cake. He hands Caleb the first piece. "Mmmm this is good" Caleb says. We all laugh. Things just couldn't be better.

After the cake we all exchanged presents for Caleb. I got him new baseball gloves that he's been wanting for quite some while now. I also got him something else, but I waited to give it to him once everyone had left. Caleb has always meant something more than just friends to me. Something extra special. I just wasn't sure if I was ready to tell him yet.
