He showed up again today, I couldn't help but to smile and shake my head. To describe him in one word, I'd have to say persistent. Not always a bad thing, but theres a downside to everything, or at least thats what i like to think. Back row far right corner, he always stood there beside the bar. He'd make small talk with Jerry and wait for him to get his chair.I guess you could say it was his spot. Jerry brought out the red cushioned bar stool and as the boy took a seat ,I had taken mine. I watched as he ordered his drink,i could never tell what it was. I was never much of a drinker, it never interested me. Jerry cleared his throat and i knew that was my cue. It was time. I throw the guitar strap over my shoulder and take a deep breath and began to play, each note echoing off the walls. I turn to my left and give a smile to Miles, him giving me a nod. I guess it was time for me to sing.
