"Cadets! Today you will be put into groups. Everyone put into Levi's squad has been personally chosen; there are not many of you. Two to be exact. (Y/N) (L/N) and Eren Jaegar. You two have been assigned to Levi's squad." Commander Erwin states. Eren and I look at each other, feeling a combination of pride and confusion.
"Why us?" I ask.
"I'm not sure, maybe due to my Titan shifting abilities; I'm not so sure about you." He says. I know exactly why I have been chosen for this squad. No one knows of my abilities.
I could hear voices, voices that didn't exist. At least, not to anyone else. The Colossal Titan broke through the wall, allowing all the Titans to get through. But they didn't just run around eating people alive, not for me anyway.
These Titans could talk, not out loud, yet somehow I could hear them. I could read their minds. Some Titans want to kill for fun, some are just hungry, others are starving. They needed human flesh, they didn't want to die.
Why am I able to hear them? I'm not sure. Why am I able to read their minds? I don't know. However, the real question is; why me?
