"Do you ride?" Nina askes as she snaps me back to reality. "Not since I was younger. When I was fifteen, I showed" I replied honestly. Not many people now that and I question myself as to why I mentioned it.

"You wanna go for a ride?" Nina asks with a smirk.

"Um. I-I don't know if I should. I mean, I would love to b-" I try to avoid the one thing that would break me, but she cut she cuts me off.

"But your to scared that I'll out ride you?" She snapped back sarcastically. Reverse physiologically isn't going to work on me Nina, nice try.

"You know what, fine." It hurts giving in, because riding was my esacpe, before the fighting, before the drugs. Before I got sent to here.

Nina and I talk as we wonder towards one of her many massive stables. There has to be at least  two hundred horses here! This one of the hardest things to see, but one of the most relaxing at the same time. I haven't been on a horse or let alone see one in a year, maybe longer.

"How would you honestly rate your riding?" Nina asks me with a glint of amusement in her eyes.

"I showed in the B circuit  hunter-jumper classes as a 15 year old. I think I can handle pretty much anything you give me." I replied somewhat honestly, hoping that she wouldn't test my honesty.

"That's English riding. We ride western around here. I may be able to find an English saddle around here, but don't expect it to be clean!" Nina giggles.

"Just give me a western one, I can ride both ways," I say, hoping to god she doesn't give me a crazy ass horse. Its been 3 years since I've rode anything competitively.

We continue with small talk until Nina leads me to a beautiful blue roan Tennessee walking horse. By the looks of its name plate on his bridle, his name is Forrest and he looks to be about 16 hands.

"This is my baby." Nina says, beaming. "I've had him since I was 12 and I bought him completly green. Trained him completly by myself.  He is my life."

"You are going to ride 'Moo', Forrests' best friend. An easy ride as long as you pay attention." She says as she winks, knowing exactly what she is doing.
