"DEAN OPPA, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!" "DEAN!"

Here we go again. I thought as I took a deep breath and waved at the fans waiting outside the arena. They are crowding around my car as I step inside it, banging against the windows and I flinched mentally. My manager recently had the windows replaced after some fans broke them when they found it outside a club in Gangnam, thinking I was inside. Luckily I wasn't. I was in another car too busy with a girl I had just met that night to mind the calls from my manger. The next morning however as I was fighting with a hangover, my manager made sure to remind me never to be as careless again.

"Oppa! 사랑해!"the fan by the window screamed, banging it with her fists and pressing her face against the glass. "사랑해!"

I faked a smile and waved at them, praying that they leave so I can get to my hotel soon. The concert lasted a good five hours and I had photo shoots and radio shows before that. I am exhausted as fuck. I need a fucking can of beer. The security eventually got them to step away to make room for the car to drive out of the damn place. I caught one fan being forcefully yanked away by a security guard and I grit my teeth. Damn, they don't have to that rough. Shit.

"They shouldn't be that rough with the fans, hyung, they'll leave eventually. They shouldn't be hurting the fans." I muttered. Another fan is pushed away and this time she lands on her butt, but the security doesn't do anything to help her. Instead he shouts at them to keep moving backwards. "Do you see this, hyung? They are hurting the fans!" my voices raises a tad bit in annoyance.

My lovely manger finally looks up from his planner. He takes a look at the crowd and shakes his head. "They aren't going to leave faster with any other method," he looks at me, "Unless you want to lead them out of the way yourself?"

A bang against the window stopped me from telling him to go fuck himself.

"What is it with your fans and trying to break your windows?"

I don't answer him, too annoyed to even look at his direction. The car finally drove out into the highway. As my manager was about to tell me something, I pulled out head phones and put my iPod on full volume.

I feel myself get lost in the beat and rhythm of my own songs. This is, without a doubt, the only thing that keeps me going. The only thing that I have control over. No one can fuck with my music, I wouldn't have made it this far if anyone had tried to. It's all me, my mind, my soul put into words and rhythm and played through the speakers and earphones of the people. This is how I connect with the world, how my fans know my story and how I feel. That is if they can figure out what the words actually mean, and how the melody mixes, revealing a fraction of me that makes me vulnerable and yet strong at the same time. The corners of my mouth twitch as I remember the theories the Rebels have made about my music. About how I was starting to get involved with drugs, how I was seeing someone in secret and we have an abusive relationship, crazy shit that's not even close to what I am trying to put out. But I appreciate their efforts to try to figure out the big mystery that is Dean.

I feel a hand tap my shoulder and my eyelids open. I didn't even notice I had fallen asleep. I pull my headphones down and stretch my arms. We have arrived at the hotel. Luckily, we've managed not to get our hotel leaked, otherwise, I'd be dealing with squealing teenagers the whole night. I cringed as I remember the last performance I had where the fans figured out where I was staying. I couldn't sleep a wink that night.

After I pulled my hood over my head, I step out of the car and into the hotel. Manager hyung doesn't give me my car keys and gives me a stern look, a reminder to behave. I rolled my eyes at him when he isn't looking. "I'm going straight to my room," I said after they gave me the keys to my room. They don't even try to stop me. I bet they are surprised I didn't insist on going clubbing. I was too, to be honest. Maybe I'll sneak out later.

My phone rang as I got out of the elevator and stepped onto my floor. Scoffing, I answered it. "Hey, Millic."

"WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU HYUNG? THE CONCERT WAS OVER HALF AN HOUR AGO!" my asshole of a best friend screams into my ear in Korean.

"Shit, I just arrived at the hotel. Use your indoor voice. Fuck," I cursed.

"Sorry, hyung. But hurry up, the whole squad is here in the club already. COME ON!" Millic screams the last sentence and I hear the rest of Club Eskimo in the background yelling. Damn, they're loud. Why am I friends with them again?

"I just got here, give me time to get ready. Manager hyung is pissed at me, he took my car--" and it dawns on me that I don't have a car. How the fuck am I going to sneak out tonight? "Shit, he took my car keys. I can't go out"

"Hold on, hyung," I hear him talk to someone in the background but I can't figure out who. "I'm borrowing Youngsin's car. The new one. Wait for me at the underground parking lot of your hotel in 15 minutes." Now I remember why this douche is my best friend.

"Thanks, man. Wait let me get ready first." Millic reminds me to use the fire exit instead of the elevator and I thank him again. After I ended the call, I ran to my hotel room, opened my luggage and pulled out a random coat to put on over my hoodie. I double checked if I had my wallet and phone in my pocket, and went out. Making sure to move quickly, I reach the fire exit in a matter of seconds.

I hurriedly climb the stairs, I am sure manager hyung won't check up on me yet, but I can't be too careful. I have to at least be gone before he checks up on me. He's going to give me shit anyway, I better piss him off a little more. I'm in the parking lot when I bump into something and fall onto the floor.

"Ow!" Someone.

I raise my head and see a girl wearing an off-shouldered top and a skirt. I look away despite seeing that she is wearing tights under them. She might recognize me. And it's rude to stare. I helped the girl stand up, muttering a quick apology.

"Uhm, sorry I don't... I can't speak Korean." she stutters and I look at her. Her eyes are wide and glossy. Her cheeks are tinted pink, but I am sure it's not because of her makeup, she is barely wearing any. Her bottom lip is caught between her teeth and my mouth parts. She is beautiful...

"I'm... I'm really sorry, I didn't know there was someone here. I was going out-- I mean I was just going to go back to my room! Not that you know where my room is, but.." the girl rushes with her words nervously and I can't help but smile.

She isn't a fan. I can tell. I don't have a mask on, she can see my face clearly and yet she hasn't freaked out. Maybe it's because she's foreign. My music's pretty known internationally, but one look at this girl, and I could tell she wasn't the type to listen to K-music. Hmm.

"Were you in a hurry? Oh my gosh, I am so sorry, I should have looked if there was someone here before. I am so sorry. Can, can you even understand me? Oh gosh, you can't! Um.."

I should stop her from panicking. I mean she looks cute, but she looks like she might faint. "I can understand you. Don't worry." I tell her in English.

The pretty girl sighs in relief and bites her lip again. "Oh, thank God. I'm so sorry, by the way. I didn't mean to--"

"I was the one who bumped into you. It's okay. Stop apologizing, please," her eyes widen even more. I light shines past them, revealing it's dark brown shade. God, she is beautiful.

I was about to ask for her name when a horn interrupts me. "What the--"

"HYUNG!" Millic's voice fills in the parking lot. "Come on!"

I hold my hand up to him and tell him to wait. "Um, I should go. Sorry again." the girl slowly backs away and climbs up the stairs.

"Wait!" but she's gone. Millic honks again and I flip him the finger before grabbing my phone from the floor. I notice a key next to it. It must've fallen from my pocket. I run towards the car Millic is driving. "Drive, we gon' get wasted tonight," I tell him as soon as I get in.

There's a disclaimer in the next page, so please do read it. Everything will make much more sense after reading the disclaimer.
