Chapter One: Never Before
You know how a guy can promise you forever, then yet treat your existence like they have the chance to take it for granted? That feeling hurts. A lot. It doesn't matter how many walls I built up, it seems as if the same guy always tore them down and made me build up new ones. I can't even consider counting the number of times I took pain with a closed mouth. I wouldn't peep a word, but somehow, I was tired.
I stood against the locker of my Creator, at least that's what he told me he was. My bloodshot eyes glared down at the cork-board in front of me as I waited, my pale arms crossed against my chest. People gave me strange looks, yet they stuck around for the show. I could feel my red lipstick smeared across lips and a sick smirk was printed on my face, but I couldn't change.
I straightened out against the locker as I saw Drake, my problem, walking towards me with his usual group of delinquent friends. He still wore a smug grin on his perfect face, hands shoved in the pockets of his designer jeans, eyes confused as they landed on me. I watched him as he came to stand in my path, a hard look taking over my face.
I took out a deep breath before I attempted to mentally calming myself, failing miserably." Who is she?" I spat out, the crowd of people gasping at the lack of hesitation.
Drake just smirked harder at me, shrugging nonchalantly." I created you, Rae, you don't question me." He snapped at me, reaching out to grab my hand.
I yanked myself away from him," Don't even try touch my hand. And what do you mean you created me? The only thing you did was teach me how to become a silent slave for you." I snapped back without the usual amount of hesitation, I was sure of my words.
He grabbd me violently, which I didn't respond to. No one said anything, they just watched with intrested eyes. That was it, Drake ruled over everyone because they were scared. When I showed I wasn't scared anymore, he had no power. He stared at me, gripping me tightly." She was ready, Rae." He said all at once." That girl has it all and she knows she has it, you don't. You think you're so bad and you're just some pathetic little girl, who doesn't even have the parents alive to care."
I didn't say anything to him after that, I just took it like I needed to. Drake smile happily, satisfied with himself." Now, go get me my stuff. My girl is on the way here." He commanded me, thinking I was going to take it.
I shook my head and pulled away from his bruising grip, I bit my lip to hold in my sarcastic laugh. Drake wasn't as smart as he looked, he trusted me with all of his guns and hard work, while he sat around like some princess that didn't want to get her hands dirty. I pulled one of his guns out of the waistband of my skirt, pointing it directly at him. People gasped and started to call the teachers out for help." I'm about to get real, real bad right now." I took a breath as a lone tear invaded my cheek." I did everything for you and you treat me like I'm nothing. I took the blame for you that night and went to jail. If it weren't for me, you'd be in prison. Instead of being with me like you were supposed to be, you were out with these boys who ran away when the cops showed up. They left you, I was your fucking alibi, when your crew left you hanging to take the blame."
" Now, you're with some other girl, while you're supposed to be building a family with me, Drake. I've been in this stupid shit since I was fourteen, I was in love with you!" I screamed in rage, taking the safety off of the gun.
Drake laughed coldly at me, trying to hide his fear." Loved me? Raegan, stop playing games. Girl, you'd jump if I told you to."
I nodded my head along, agreeing." You're right, that's what I used to do, but I'll be damned, if I fucking do that shit now."
