V's POV

After I spoke with Victoria, I felt anger towards the commander for harming her. I took a picture of her with me to see if he will recognize her. He soon realized I was here, when he turned off his television and he fell backwards. "Good evening Commander Prothero." I greeted.

"Oh my god! How did you get in here?" He asked and tried to call for help. "Don't worry I've made sure our reunion won't be disturbed by any pesky late-night phone calls commander." I told him and grabbed Victoria's picture.

"Stop. Why do you keep calling me that?" He asked and I showed him the picture. "That was your title remember? When we first met, all those years ago. When you harmed this woman. You wore a uniform in those days." He looked at the picture, then his expression changed to disgust.

"You. It is you and that girl was the disrespectful, disobedient child who was used for experimentation." He realized. "The Ghosts of Christmas Past." I said, before killing him and returned home, after leaving a rose on his chest.

Time skip

Victoria's POV

I woke up and got dressed, before leaving to room to see V. "V?" I asked and he turned to me. "Ah, Victoria, good morning." He greeted.

"Good morning, what are you doing?" I asked. "Practicing swordfighting." He answered and I smiled.

"I remember when I used to do that." I said. "Would you care to join me?" He asked and I nodded, before going to get my sword.

"That sword is quite beautiful. Let's begin, shall we?" He asked and we started. We were evenly matched, while fighting and playing a movie, then I pushed him back. "Very good." He said, before getting up and we continued, then I saw Evey so I blocked him, before pointing at her.

"I hope we didn't wake you." He told her. "No I thought you two were fighting. For real, I mean." She said, then I placed my sword against his neck.

"I win again." I told him. "My favorite film: The Count of Monte Cristo, with Robert Donat as Edward Dantes." He told her, while we continued, but I won again, then pointed my sword at him.

"Are you going easy on me?" I asked. "Perhaps." He answered and I knew he was. "Well, don't."

I spun around and pointed my sword at his chest, then we watched the movie, after she told us to put the swords away. He turned it off and Evey paid attention to the story. "V, yesterday I couldn't find my ID. You didn't take it, did you?" She asked.

"Would you prefer a lie or the truth?" He asked and she stood up. "Did you have anything to do with that? Victoria, did you know what he was doing, if he did?" She asked.

"Yes, I killed him and Victoria knew." He told her and she got mad at us. "And are you going to kill more people?" She asked. "Yes." Was all he said, then she left.

"Victoria, were you held in Larkhill, when they experimented on you?" He asked and I nodded. We were reading and she came back, then told him about our family. "I'm not strong like Victoria is and I want to know if there is anything I can do to make it right." She said and he agreed.

He asked her to act for him, while he went to kill another man. "Did you know Father Lilliman?" He asked. "I even remember the looks he gave me and he still sickens me." I told him and he nodded.

Time skip

We eventually entered through the window that Evey opened for us and entered the room. "Reverend." He greeted. "My god. She wasn't lying. It is you." The man gasped and we looked at Evey.

"I'm sorry. I had to." She said, then ran. "Evey!" We called to her.

While V killed the man, I stared at the direction Evey exited with hurt eyes, before we left. That night, we killed the coroner and she didn't put up a fight. "Are you alright?" He asked me. "I can't believe she left me behind, she never did that before." I told him as I started to cry and he embraced me.

"It is alright Victoria. We will find her and test her loyalty." He whispered and I nodded, before putting my hands on the sides of his mask, but he gripped my wrists gently. "Please, let me see your face." I begged.

"Why do you wish to see it?" He asked. "I wish to see the face of the man, I have fallen in love with." I told him and he froze, before lifting his mask off.

"Why do you wish to wear a mask?" I asked. "So no one will recognize me." He answered, before reaching to put it back on, but I kissed him deeply and he returned it. We parted to catch our breath.

"I love you, too, Victoria." He whispered and we made love that night.
