Today is the day, the day my family has been waiting for since the day I was born. Don't get me wrong, I've been looking forward to finally learn proper magic, but I'm scared. I'm scared I will disappoint my family and ruin the family tree. You see, every person in my family has been in Slytherin.

I try to wash those feelings off my head and make sure I have all my stuff. As soon as I finish checking my mother knocks on the door saying we are leaving any moment now. I get my suitcase and go to the living room where the rest of my family is. My mother, my father, and my little brother.

Not only do I want to make my parents proud for being sorted into Slytherin, but I also want to be a good role model. My brother is 5 years younger than me, and he looks up to me. It's hard being a the oldest sibling because your younger siblings pick up pretty much every thing you do.

We all stand in the living room forming a small circle. Nobody is saying a word, we're just staring at each other until my father says it's time to go.

We arrive at the train station and start walking and don't stop until we end in the middle of two big numbers that say 9 and 10. I've never been to a train station so I didn't know what they meant. I look down at my thicket and see the number 9 3/4. Knowing my parents rarely go to the Muggle world I started to worry that we where at the wrong train station. I feel a hand resting on my shoulder and I turn around to see that it's only my mother. "You have to run towards the wall, and don't stop." She explains. Ok I'm defiantly worried right now has my mother gone crazy? As she sees my confused face she asks my father to demonstrate and I see him disappear in front of my very own eyes. My mother follows him holding my brothers hand. I stare in shock, I look around to see if any Muggles are looking and as I run towards the wall with my eyes closed.

That's strange... I didn't crash into anything. As I open my eyes I see an enormous black and red train with Hogwarts Express written in golden words. As I look around I see the numbers 9 3/4 and check my thicket again. This is it, I turn to face my parents and I run up to them and hug them. I had never left my parents side, I don't know how I will be able to survive without them. I see that people are starting to get on the Hogwarts Express and I end the hug. I start heading into the train as my mother calls my name. As I turn around I understand why she called me. I didn't say goodbye to my little brother. Yea we fight to time to time... Scratch that, we fight all the time. But that doesn't change the fact that he's my brother. I let go of my suit case and kneel down so I could be able to hug him. I get up looking at my family and I give a little smile and turn around. I wish I could be able to tell them how much I'll miss them and how much I love them, but I'm completely speechless.

As I board the Hogwarts Express I immediately start searching for my friends. I start walking and almost immediately I spot my friends. As I go up to them my best friend spots me and waves to me. My other friends see that she's waving and turn to look and wave as well "Hi" I respond.

My best friend Is a tall, pale, brunette long hair, with bangs almost long enough to cover her dark brown eyes. Her name is Alyssa, she is practically my other half. My other friend was sitting across from us, her name was Breann. She loved dying her hair,I honestly didn't even know her real color, and this time she had it dyed dark red. Every color suited her, she was as tall as Alyssa she had beautiful tawny skin and dark brown eyes

We talk throughout all the train ride, as the train comes to a stop my heart skips a beat. I wasn't sure I was ready to go into Hogwarts, and worse of all get sorted. We got off the train and follow a huge man with the name of Hagrid to some little boats. As me and my friends carefully step into the boats we see the beautiful castle.

The boat ride only lasted for a couple minutes and we all quickly got off, speed walking towards the castle. We came into a room where an old looking lady came and we all quickly became silent and looked at her. Apparently she was a Professor here at Hogwarts and she was also head master for the Gryffindor house. If I remember correctly she said her name was Professor Mcgonagall, and she told us to follow her to get sorted. My stomach dropped to the floor and I turned whiter than a ghost. I try to cover my face with my hair as I follow Professor Mcgonagall and the rest of the students into another room.

The room had 4 different long tables, and I'm assuming each table represents a house. As we head to the front of the giant hall, a really old man gets up. He welcomes everyone and introduces himself as Headmaster Dumbledore.
