*Katrina’s POV*
“Katrina, we’re home” Mother yelled as she helped Eric with the shopping and his bags. Eric is staying for the night cause he has to go back to school on Monday and we really wanted to see him before we leave for New York City in a week.
“ERIC” I screamed as I ran down the hall in to Eric’s arms, he caught me and swing us around in a circle.
“I missed you” he said in my ear still swinging around,
“Eric put her down before you hurt her” Mother said as she walked towards the kitchen. Eric soon lowered me down to the ground; we walked in to the lounge room with little chatter. I’m glad Eric’s here I missed him sooo much, I remember when we were little we would run around the house with capes and Masks pretending to help people. I miss the good old days. We were sitting on the couch when Mother walked in and turned the Telly on. The loop had just finished. I turned to Eric and he looked at me.
“Sooo Eric is you and Step still together?!?!” I whispered so I didn’t disturb Mother, I was fond of Stephanie she would help me with school work when we were home and she would help me write songs, sometimes she would stay up till 4 in the morning doing duets with me. She cared so much for everything,
“yea we’re still together, come here” he whispered back, gesturing for me to come closer. So I did I leant forward so I had my ear to his face.
“cause I’m almost twenty I’m gonna ask her to marry me” he whispered in my ear, I let out a little squeal, after 12 years he’s gonna ask her out I’m soooo happy for them, yea. I fell back into the arm of the couch with a huge grin on my face.
“So K.K are you and Jason Still together?!?!” Eric asked punching me slightly in the arm, I looked down pain stabbed me in the heart.
“Eric” Mother said under her breath, hitting Eric on the arm in the process.
“What” Eric defended him?
“She doesn’t want to talk about it” Mother fired back at him.
“It’s alright Mother he has to know sooner or later” I interrupted their little argument.
“So, what happened?!?!” Eric asked looking me in the eyes.
“He got sent to juvenile detention” I mumbled. Telling Eric this brought back memories of the fateful night.
Memories
It was Jason’s last day of school for the Christmas holidays and I wanted to surprise him. So I walked to his house, when I arrived I knocked on the door when his mum answered.
“Hello Darling, Come in” she moved to the side holding the door for me to walk in.
“Jason will be here soon you can wait in the lounge room” she walked with me down the hall lined with photos.
“Thank you” I thanked her and walked to the lounge room. I sat down with Jason’s Dad John, His Mum Jen and his 2 sisters Jessica and Jacinta. We talked for a while until we heard the door open and close. Jason walked in Bag in hand. As he walked through the arch-way he saw me. Dropping his bag he ran to me picking me up off the couch swinging me around. After we were done hugging and kissing we sat down and talked, it felt like we talked for hours mainly about how school was my brother being home and he asked me what London was like.
“Katrina would you like to stay for dinner?” Jen asked
“Yes thank you, would you like a hand?” I offered standing up from where I was sitting on Jason’s lap.
