Reunions and awkward hugs

Max walked as fast as she could into uncle Eddie's repair shop. The heels of her worn black Cowboy boots on the hardwood floor made her presence know to the ageing man in front of her. "Is it true! Did he pull it off" Max almost screamed her words dripped in nervousness and excitement. Eddie turns to her with a classic Gecko smirk "our boys are back kiddo, Richie just called me and said that they are about 30 miles from here" both laughed with relief and for the first time in a long time hope. "Well short stack you better start that truck up if your gonna go see our boys"

After saying goodbye to Eddie. Max was on her way, the dusty blue open-back truck was barley running but she would walk there if it meant seeing her best friends again, her family again. Shortly after she got a text from a unknown number which she guessed was Richie telling her to meet them on the side of the road near a petrol station. No more than 30minutes later Max pulled up next to the Gecko's car or as she liked to call it the Gecko-mobile. She switched the engine off and flew out of the truck. A familiar face appeared out of the passenger side of the car. With his thick rimmed glasses and gelled back hair Max could recognise Richie Gecko from anywhere. A small giggle erupted from her lips as she dove into his arms. Due to the height difference Richie had to lift her slightly "I didn't notice you there without that cowpoke beard you got yourself" she said with humour in her tone. "Shut up Little miss hasn't grown since 10th grade" both Max and Richie erupted with laughter, but it's true Max was only 5'3 and Richie never let her live it down. "Okay where is our favourite little jailbird." Seth was still no where to be seen and Max was growing impatient, neither her or Richie could visit him in jail because of their connections to previous scores and deals the three made, so a visit to the prison could cost them more than $7 dollars in gas money. So Max hasn't laid eyes on the older Gecko in 5 years. "He's right here, Bambi" she smiled at the use of her childhood nickname and spun around to see Seth Gecko standing there in his usual three piece suit and cocky grin, his arms open wide hoping she would jump in to his arms and wrap her slender legs around his waist just like old times. But that was then and this was now. She ran to him and wrapped her denim clad arms around his broad shoulders, a lot broader than before, Seth's face dropped slightly, instead of feeling her face burying into his neck he felt her small hand pat his back awkwardly and release herself from his grip. 'She still can't he mad about Vanessa can she?' Seth thought. All the excitement and happiness she felt going to see the gecko brothers vanished when the unresolved issues and feelings between her and Seth bubbled in the back of her min. After seeing the way Max instantly crossed her arms and let her face fall into its normal bitchy appearance Seth knew. She still is pissed about Vanessa.

Okay guys first real chapter is up and really excited to write the rest. What do u guys think about Max?
