Katelyn POV
I sat on the bow of the ship and looked into the distance, I can't believe I let those little goblins take Dmitri and Nekoette!! But, when I saw Jefforey....
"Heeyyyy baby"
I turned around and saw the "new guy" on the journey. I think Aph said his name was Travis?
I decided to ignore his first choice of words, "Travis right?" I asked putting my hand out for him to shake. "I'm Katelyn,nice to-"
He took my hand and pulled me close to him, "I could be whatever you want baby"
Clearly nobody told him not to mess with me yet. I pulled my hand free and slapped him across his right cheek. "How about you leave me alone!"
"Alone as in...with me?" He tried to sweet talk me as if I was some sort of trophy for him to win. That really got on my nerves, I punched him in the stomach.
"Ow!" He squeaked as he folded over, "What's up with you", he asked, "somebody already have your heart?"
My heart ached as I thought of Jefforey and a single tear slid down my cheek.
"Bab- I mean Katelyn, what's wrong? Why are you crying?" He actually sounded concerned as he tried to hug me.
"Just...don't talk to me" I said pushing him off me and going to the other end of the ship and sitting on a crate. "I swear if he comes over here" I said to myself, but he didn't. I felt bad, and he looked hurt as he walked away. More tears started to run down my cheeks, I felt like it was all my fault Jefforey had died, if only I had been there...
I then felt my stomach churn, "oh no" I whimpered as I leaned across the edge of the ship and tossed my cookies. Oh my Irene, I hate being sea sick.
