The sun was setting. The sky appeared to be covered in cotton candy-like clouds with hues of pink, orange, and blue to compliment it. The clock in Town Square read 6 o'clock. It's that time of day again where the number of thieves and killers reach its pique. It's that time of day again when people begin to hustle and bustle their way home to safety. However, are their homes truly that safe?

Alaude always took the night-shift. He put on his velvety black police cap that bore a golden badge signifying a police force. He pulled his black trench coat over his shoulders, adjusted his equally black gloves, and readied his silver handcuffs. This evening, the Vongola Famiglia was going undercover to investigate the unsolved, unknown to the actual police, kidnappings of innocent people going around in the area. These were Giotto's orders. These kidnappings, they were informed, were done by an opposing mafia team to take over the Vongola and restore chaos to Italy.

Alaude took matters into his own hands. He decided he would go undercover as a policeman for the next couple of nights to get the job down quicker, he had enough work as it is. Brushing his platinum blonde hair aside, he carefully looked around for any and all peculiar activity in the area.

The clock struck seven. The sun had completely gone down. Alaude sharpened his awareness as his search broadened. He reached a spot that sparked a memory - a memory of you.

Up until this moment, you two had gotten to know each other through supposed "coincidences" and the like. You were the enemy of the police force. He has been working as a police officer ever since he's known you and often-times he wondered how you always managed to break free from his grasp.

POV Change

Your (h/c) hair flowed without a care in the world. You were focused on your footwork and hand coordination. Cautiously, you made your way to the exit of the jewelry store and left as if no one ever knew you were there. You chuckled to yourself in triumph.

"Sucks to be those losers."

You smiled to yourself as you clutched what you considered 'rightfully yours' in one hand under a coat you used previously as a disguise. You brushed the sweat falling down your forehead away and continued on to your next target: the nearest grocery store.

Your way of living was considered undignified, but you didn't care as long as you got the basic necessities. Sometimes you wondered if you should stop and just live more nobly, but this life excited you especially since you met him.

Flash-Back (Start)

You had made a wrong turn in an alleyway only because on this particular day you came unprepared to be chased. Your pursuers had cornered you and were ready to beat you for your stolen goods, but luckily you managed to get across a stone wall twice your size and lose their interest. Unknowingly, you bumped into more danger on the other side of the wall. A glimps of a man's hair swayed as the wind picked up and a deathly glare caught your attention. It was as if it pierced straight into your soul and knew all the wrongs you've done in your life.

"What are you doing here woman?"

You paused, still in shock. You shook off the heavy feeling and looked away.

"N-Nothing. Don't worry about it" you said cooly, trying to escape this man. You noticed his police uniform right away.

He glared at you once more and though you couldn't see you it, you could feel it.

"Hnnnn...?"

The stranger took a couple steps forward until he was a good two feet away from you. You fidgeted a little, almost causing the goods you fought so hard for to fall to the floor and expose you. Now you were really suspicious looking to the man before you.
