"W-Wait, there's no way I was recruited, who are you?" I asked the Girl.
"You heard me, you've been recruited for Vortex." She replied, "And by the way, the names Cynthia"
"Well, it's good to finally know who you are, but, at the same time, I don't really know why you are." I replied, but I was happy to learn something about this stranger.
"Well let's just say, we will be spending a lot of time together." She said with a wide grin on her face.
"What does that mean?" I asked her.
"You'll see, meet me outside after you get dressed!" She replied.
I couldn't really understand what she meant by that, but I assumed I'd figure out eventually. Cynthia dashed out of my room, so I could get dressed, but I was interrupted by my mom who quietly walked in the door with a piece of paper in her hands.
"Congrats on getting another straight A grading cycle, I'm so proud of you!" She told me with a huge smile on her face.
"Yea thanks mom." I replied, still at a loss of words for what just happened.
As she left the room still smiling, I quickly made my way out my window to see Cynthia standing outside waiting for me.
"How long does getting dressed take you?" She sneered.
"Sorry, but my mom interested me." I frowned at her.
"Must be nice.." She mumbled.
After I looked at her for a bit, she shook her head, and told me to follow her.
We went down a long pathway, heading to a prestigious looking facility. Everyone knee what Vortex was of you lived where I did, it was the place you went when you showed strength, intellect, and endurance.
As we got closer to the facility, Cynthia stopped so suddenly suddenly, and I ended up running into her.
"Hey, What was that for!" I yelled at her.
"SHH!" She yelled back at me.
Suddenly she grabbed my hand and ran us to the nearest bush that she found.
"Aki, they're here." She told me.
