CHAPTER 7: The Name Differs But The Smile Is Same

Chapter 7:

Crying out my heart I am asking my mistake. The guards are hard to resist and the king came out.

I cried "I wonder what I have done your honor!" The king told the guards to go out and leave us alone. This scares me even more.

"What's your name?"

"Edd... Edd Edward" He then turned his back to me "Do you know why are you here?"

"Sir the guards chased me!".

"Fair enough." He then asked about my life, job, home and education with an eyebrow held up and a huge smile. I wonder what that reflects.

He then asked why I had choose to paint what I had painted.

I simply said, "Sir I have no idea about your thoughts on it. But to me, that painting is a page with my life on it."

"Do you know that girl in it?"

"Indeed, she is a princess"

The king's face was red he turned and said, "If you would do me the honor of describing her?"

It scared me I didn't know what to reply with.

"She is my daughter, isn't she the most beautiful girl?"

For a moment I forgot where I was and some words left through my mouth unconsciously, "When I saw her, I wished I could add a ring on her head because Angels should not forget they belong to the heavens and someone might steal them from themselves.. but some may give all they could for them. I wish....."

I stopped abruptly. Coming back to the real world. The king looked at me like he would eat me any second.

He cried "GUARDS!"

Five guards ran in. They were ordered to take me to the Dg. Code for something I wish I knew.

On our way I asked the guards what the Dg stood for. In reply I was told that it is the 'Diamond Garden. I didn't know whether or not to believe that the King had good plans for me or bad..

The guards left me in a beautiful garden. It was filled with roses and diamond shaped arrangements. It was such a beautiful sight. A man came to me. He gave me a piece of paper and demanded that I draw the princess. I did so.

I asked that guy about the princess.

"Which one?" I got little confused

"Alicia?"

He said she died. I asked him if there is any other princess too? He said "Princess Janenia". I said "May she live long unlike princess Alicia". Then I started drawing. The king came out. He said if I will make it as perfect as before I would be awarded by the hands of the princess. I thought its awesome. Then when I was done with the painting. I showed it to the king. He was quite happy. Then he told a guard to call the princess. After a while, a girl came out.. oh wait.. That's the princess I saw that day. That's her! I can't be wrong! But I thought her name was Alicia. I couldn't express my joy. She saw the painting and said "How can you draw me so perfect without watching me? I dont remember spending time with you. But I loved it." I said "Dear princess, I don't know if you remember me or not. But I saw you years ago, not just that, I was unaware of your personality and I gave you a compliment. You laughed but believe me I knew about you after 2-3 years" she laughed and said "That's so sweet of you. Yes! I remember you. Not really but I remember a guy being weird like that" Then the king added "So Janenia? Won't you award him with some gifts?" She said "Ofcourse, I would love to" Then she gave me a gold hand-watch. I thanked her. The king said "You may visit us. We would love that" I said "Honour" and the guards left me back at my cottage. My mom was crying and tensed. When she saw me, she came out running to me bombarding me with questions "Are you alright? What happened? Is everything fine?" I couldn't smile wider I believe, I hugged her tight and said "Dont worry mom I am happier than I ever was"
