The morning began with a torrential downpour. Thunder and lightning crashed through the sky. It was still very dark but most mornings in Seattle are dark and gloomy with rain and fog covering the morning sky. Dreyden heard the crash and woke up suddenly almost violently. It was 8:05 am! His alarm had not gone off in time to wake him. A quick look and he realized he set the alarm to PM not AM. We have all done it. His interview was set for 10:00 am. The office was building was more than 45 minutes away. He thought to himself that he surely had enough time to to clean himself up , have a small breakfast and make it to the interview on time. It was just that he had a strange feeling and the thunder kept crashing louder and louder it seemed. This morning storm was like an angry God beating from on high, strange even for Seattle.

Dreyden started his coffee machine and hurriedly headed for the shower. He rushed to clean himself. In all his haste he slipped and fell while his body did a complete somersault 360 smashing his head and shoulders into the hard bathtub. He would realize later he had a bump on his head and a major bruise on his right shoulder. He finished his shower and began the rest of his morning routine. Brushing his teeth and shaving. While shaving Dreyden glanced at the clock. It was 8:30am. Just then he cut his face with his razor on the right side. This day was not going very well at all.

He was finally able to stop the bleeding but his face looked ridiculous w/ the amount tissue stuck to it to help stop the bleeding. He attempted to gulp down a cup of coffee and some toast while getting dressed. With the way the day was going already, naturally he spilled coffee on his pressed white shirt. He quickly changed realizing he was running out of time if he wanted to leave and be on time for to his interview.

With barely enough time to spare he turned off all lights and the coffee maker, put on his warm coat and left. He rushed to his car and turned on morning radio. Traffic can be insane this time of day and he hoped to hear of any traffic delays. He quickly backed out his driveway when he heard a horrible thud! Dreyden quickly looked around and saw nothing. He jumped out of his car to find that he had hit an elderly woman while backing out. She was dressed very strangely in colorful robes and scarves. He hair was white as a fresh sheet of paper and very long. It was braided in one complex twist of a pony tail.

Dreyden check the woman's pulse. She was alive! Thank God he though to himself. Slowly the woman came to and looked Dreyden in the eye. Very suddenly she stood up almost as if nothing had happened. She had a large gash on her forehead but Dreyden watched in astonishment as it healed  right before his eyes. Who was this woman? He was already running late but he had to make sure that she was okay even though she seemed less shaken by the whole experience than he was. He asked the woman if she was okay still shocked by what he had seen. The woman smiled but said nothing. Dreyden asked again trying to not seem impolite but he really was in a hurry. This would be the job of a lifetime if he could land it.

Slowly the woman looked at him and said "what's your hurry? You have all the time in the world." He quickly tried to explain that he had to leave and that he was very sorry for hitting her. She made the shhh sound and looked at him and said, "I understand your hurry and I forgive you, but you now must do something for me." Dreyden explained he had to be somewhere and could not stay, he simply did not have the time, but offered to help her later and offered his phone number. The woman stared at him with a hard smile. She repeated herself and said "You have all the time in the world, and now you must do something for me to make amends for hitting me and almost killing me" as she continued to smile with deep intensity. Hoping he could work this out quickly he humored the old woman and asked what he needed to do fearing she might call authorities or her insurance company. The woman looked at him with the same strange smile and simply said "come with me."
