I tried to make myself comfortable. But I couldn't, it was too hard to sleep on a plane. I looked at the 'day' girl. Or sunshine, or whatever.
I'm night. Obviously. I liked the word 'night' though. Darkness. She was still reading. She would probably finish the book in a second by now.
A flight attendant came. "Coffee, ma'am? Sir?"
I ignored her.
"Yes, please. Thank you." Of course, the charming blonde is on the act again.
"Sir?" The attendant leaned closer. I ignored her.
"Hello?! Do you want coffee?!" The charming blonde took my headphones off.
"No." I rolled my eyes. The attendant nodded and left. "Don't you dare disturb me." I started.
"Dare to respect." She answered. "I know, I read you somehow. You're the type of guy who would go and terrify people."
No one had the guts to insult me, at least not in front of me. "It's none of your business."
"And you're saying it's okay to disrespect people just like that? You went laughing when the dude stumbled and now you go disrespect someone who's just doing their job? Dude, grow up." She started. I don't know, somehow, I'm not that pissed. It was actually impressive how this blonde girl can stand up for herself.
It wasn't something I see everyday. People would just leave me terrify or scare them. And it was more of a routine to me already, to just bully people and get kicked out of school, I mean no one ever told me how stupid or how much of an a*shole i was.I nodded and avoided her. Just can't get her courage out of my mind. She might be the sweet, kind, charming girl, it was also shocking how she would stand up for herself, or for anyone, as long as she knows the person she was defending was right.
I admit, I knew I was an a*shole. Of course I did, but no one really made me feel that way, except myself. And maybe her.
But the fact that she was too nice was bothering me. The fact that she was too charming was disturbing me.
I fell silent. I stared at her. "Thank God, I met you in a plane, I wouldn't wanna deal with you in my everyday life. Once this flight is over, there'll be no more monsters." she continued.
Right. "No more nightmares for me too." I whispered. But of course, our blonde heard. She rolled her eyes. Obvo- wait a second. Did the charming, nice, blonde girl just rolled her eyes?
"Did the blonde girl just rolled her eyes?" I laughed.
"Blonde girl? Look, I have a name and I would prefer not to deal with lunatic people, so please." She pleaded. She looked pretty serious. She placed her earphones on and ignored me. Wow, how dare she? Me talking to someone wasn't something that could happen anytime, anywhere. She should feel lucky I actually pursued the conversation.
I stared at her. Didn't know what else to say. I'm a little furious at myself, I could've said a lot more that could insult her. I've always wanted to roast such people. But I couldn't. There was something that stopped me. It was hard to explain. I wanted her to take back everything she said about me, I wanted her to apologize to me. But I also didn't, I wanted her to continue telling me the amount of bullsh*ts I have inside me, I wanted her to tell me more, insult me more.
My emotion was pretty hard to explain, I was cold hearted. I prefered not caring, but..
"Here's your coffee, ma'am" She took her earphones off, took the coffee and placed it on the tray table.
She thanked her and the attendant left. I looked out of the window, to at least try forget about it. Forget about her.
"You're drooling." She stared at me.
I frowned. "Excuse me?"
"Oh do you want some?" She raised the cup of coffee.
"Of course not." I ignored her gaze. She shrugged and went minding her own business. Finally.
"Oh so, you finished the book?" I asked, noticed the book wasn't on the tray table anymore.
"Yup. Pretty good, to be honest. A lot of people died."
I nodded, I really didn't care. As what I said, I was a cold hearted lunatic.
I stared at her again, she was actually gorgeous.
But that never mattered to me.
I was tired, indeed it was a long trip, and with the distraction right next to me, it was impossible to sleep or rest, at least.
I looked at her, she was taking selfies. I hated "girls" who takes pictures of everything, like can't you just enjoy the moment? Instead of taking your phone out, take pictures of everything.
"What are you looking at?" Here it goes again.
"Why do girls take pictures of everything?" I really was wondering.
"Memory, obviously. I take pictures of my happy memories!" She smiled. Oh for goodness sake, stop the smiles.
"So sitting next to me was a happy memory?" I teased.
"No."
Wow. That hurts, oops sorry, I'm heartless.
"How many hours left till I leave this plane? This is the worst flight ever!" She ranted.
"Two." I answered. I was also looking forward to arriving. I didn't want to be with her again.
She frowned. "Ugh, two hours stuck in hell."
"I should be the one saying that."
She rolled her eyes, again. I had to admit, she looked cute when she frowned. I did enjoy annoying her. Strange feeling.
Short chapters, yeah I know! I'll try to make them longer once we reach the middle ish part 😂 Please leave your opinions, though! Hope you enjoy the third chapter xx
