Unfortunate Meetings || 1

"Wait, you're really going to do this?" Riley asked as she stood outside of the lunch room.

"Why not? If I'm going to get kicked out of school I might as well go out in style," Avri insisted whilst heading towards the door. "See you on the other side." She then saluted.

Just as Avri went to grab the door handle the door came flying forward, knocking Avri to the floor. A boy came running out and down the corridor, a man with raven hair chasing him whilst another came to help Avri up. "Sorry about that, are you okay?" The stranger with blonde hair politely asked whilst giving her a hand up and off of the floor.

"Oh, uh, yeah I'm okay thanks." Avri stuttered out, surprised at the events that just occurred.

"I'm Cassiel, the one that knocked you down is Micah and he can get a bit angry sometimes." The stranger, that I now know as Cassiel, said.

"I'm Avri, is he going to be okay?" Avri asked. Curious about the teenager that charged down the corridor just moments before.

"Yeah, Raphael will get him to calm down." Cassiel insisted whilst looking away slightly, which gave off the sense that he wasn't telling the whole truth.

Just as Avri was about to ask him about it, Riley decided to interject and make fun of Avri for the display that she had made.

"Oh wow Avri, you definitely went out in style!" Riley just managed to get out whilst struggling to hide her laughs.

"Yeah, yeah, I get it-" Avri was interrupted by the bell, signalling that it was time for class.

"Well, sorry again Avri but I better go see what happened with those two goons." Cassiel said whilst sending the two girls a wave that they kindly returned.

The girls stared down the hall as the tall, muscular man ran down the hallway. They remained silent until Riley stated "I don't know about you but he was hot."

The next day Avri got to school, hoping to be able to perform her spectacular exit before the end of the day. Her and Riley walked through the corridor on the way to their first class when they were stopped by a boy with brown hair. "Hi, urm- I'm Micah," the boy began as Avri realised that he was the guy that barged out of the lunch room yesterday. "I just wanted to apologise for what happened yesterday. I get a bit angry sometimes and I wasn't thinking clearly." Micah said as he played with his hands, head hung low whilst looking at the floor. He lifted his head toward the end of his apology to see Avri's reaction.

Avri was surprised to see the cut along his jaw but what shocked her the most were his eyes. They were so intriguing as though they were swirling and were a beautiful shade of green. "Don't worry about it, I might have a bruised butt but it's no big deal." Avri started. "Are you okay though? Oh and I'm Avri."

Micah stood surprised for a moment at Avri's quick forgiveness and that she was worried about him even though she was the one that fell. "Yeah, I'm fine thank you." Micah was intrigued by the small brunette that stood before him as she stared into his eyes. "Would you mind if perhaps I could make it up to you? Maybe buy you some dinner?"

"Are you asking me out on a date? Don't seem to wait around, do you Micah?" Avri jokingly replied.

"I-uh," Micah started but realised that she was joking and decided to join in. "Well I might as well get to the point, nothing wrong with asking a pretty girl out on a date." Micah stood smug until he realised what he said. "I mean woman, lady- uhh ma'am."

Avri stood with an offended look on her face until she bursts out laughing, Micah slightly joining along. "Smooth Micah, what a gentleman. I think I might take you up on that offer though." Avri stated. "I'll catch up with you at lunch, try not to bulldoze me to the floor today, I have something that you'll want to see!" Avri insisted as she grabbed a stunned Riley and walked down the corridor.
