I've been out of writing for a while, but kept little dabbled on my phone when I was in the train. I'll just share them here. It's kinda sad seeing them perfectly still on my phone.
Warning, some curses and gore. this is about Pirates and such
She caught the flicker of a steel blade from the corner of her eye. She turned swiftly, but failed to dodge the swords path completely. It grazed her face, drawing a diagonal red line over her face from her forehead down to her cheek. She cursed and stepped away from her attacker. As she looked up she saw one of the deckhands raising a sword to her, a few drops of blood stained the steel tip. Arden?! what the fuck is this?! she cursed at the pubescent boy. She touched the cut. It was unsteady and not very deep. She could see the blade shaking in the sailors hands. She smeared the blood sticking to her fingers onto her trousers. M-mutiny. The boy stammered. She blinked. It came from equal parts confusion and keeping the thin stream of blood from going in her eyes. Mutiny? she asked him. Why? did i ever mistreat you?! the boys eyes went big with fear. N- no. Never. Her eyes flared. Then what the bloody fuck is this about?! she barked at him. You are unsuited to lead us. The boy threw back at her. You is... you know! she raised an eyebrow. I'm what? the eyes of the young sailor hardened. You is but a woman! we shouldn't have to take orders from you, you should obey us! he took a step in her direction. Either you let yourself be escorted to the brick or... he seemed to doubt still. Or we throw you overboard! Be eaten by sharks for bossin' us around.
No. she told him without hesitation. He took another step in her direction, but halted abruptly. A silver sword stuck from his abdomen, the handle in his captains hand. She flicked the blade causing the sailors stomach to rip open. His blood and insides splashed over the wooden deck before he crumpled face down in his own waste. The crew went silent as they looked at their captain. She stood still for a moment before sheathing her cutlass. A dark took plastered on her face. Anyone else think I'm weak or unworthy?! she hissed at the small crowd before her. She knew this could end badly, but at this point decided that if her whole crew were against her, this could better end now. The crowd kept silent and slowly some men shook their heads. One of the other deck boys walked up to her with a mop and started cleaning up his former college. She left for her hut and shut the door behind her with a loud bang. She had left without speaking another word to her crew. she took o a bottle of medical alcohol and a piece of cloth. She dabbed the cut with the alcohol infused cloth to clean it. The ship doctor didn't show up. It either meant they didn't support her or were afraid. Fear was never something she wanted on board of her ship. She needed loyal friends. She cursed who else had been in on this mutiny, who else wanted her dead now?! after her third day of silence she came out of her cabin. The cut had healed up nicely and was visible only as a thin jagged line across her face. it would have disappeared completely had it not gotten infected. Arden should have cleaned his sword. She walked onto the deck as she always had and continued business as usual. The crew seemed to respect her distance and left her alone in general. It was almost haunting. After half an hour her first mate, Rius spoke to her. What he told her was simple, but effective. Orders capt'n? she smiled. At least he still recognized her authority.
