"Tobias, do you even know where we are headed?" Mary asked as we ran aimlessly down the never-ending hall. I didn't answer. I was too busy thinking about a possible rescue mission that the two of us could make. I stopped short and turned to face Mary, "I have to ask you a serious question." I said. She stopped and stared at me like I was crazy, "What are you doing? We just met!" That threw me off, "Wh...What are you talking about?" I cried, flailing my hands into the air.

Then she began to laugh, "Oh my goodness, you should have seen your face!" I groaned and gave myself a face palm. "Listen, this actually quite serious, before I was captured, I met these two teens, their names were Fox and Kodiak." As soon as I said those names Mary's eyes lit up, "You know Fox and Kodiak!?" I paused, she knew them too? "They went missing after they went through the procedure!" She cried, "No one knew where they went."

She took a long breath, "They're okay right?" She looked at me, hope in her eyes. I shrugged, "I have no idea to be honest, the last time I saw them was when I told them that I was a werewolf." She gasped, "You told them that you're a werewolf?!" I nodded, "Yes, they wanted the truth, so I gave it to them." She didn't say anything for a couple of moments. Instead she just stood there, staring off into the distance. "Toby, we need to get out of here." Her voice had gone very low.

I was taken back, wasn't she excited to hear about her friends a couple of minutes ago? "What's the matter, I thought that they were you- She cut me off, "Shh, it's not that you dimwit, we're being watched!" I suddenly realized that she was absolutely right. Out of the corner of my left eye I saw something moving towards us. "What should we do?" I whispered over to her as we began to back away slowly from whatever was coming towards us.

She glanced back down the way we had come, "No one's there, we should make a break for it." She whispered back. We both backed up for another couple of minutes, watching uneasily as the figure came towards to both of us. "Now," I yelled as the figure broke out into a sprint. We dashed back down the hallway, not daring to look back. "Is it still behind us?" Mary screamed as we hurried down another windy passage, I took a swift glance back.

The figure was much clearer. It seemed to be not a human at all but a large polar bear! "Oh my goodness, we've got to go faster!" I screamed. We raced down the hall, the bear right on our heels. "In here!" I shouted as we came to a large wooden door. I threw it open and we bolted inside. The bear seemed to stop pursuing us, and did not try to barge through. Mary and I stood as quietly as we could.

Listening to the bear sniff around for a few moments before we heard it give a small growl and then wander off. "Whew, that was too close." I said nervously, as I wiped the sweat from my brow. Mary nodded, and gave a laugh with a hint of hysteria in it. "Where are we anyway?" I asked Mary as my eyes became more accustomed to the dark area. She shook her head, "I'm not too sure." She admitted.

We gazed about, it seemed like we had stumbled upon a room with hospital equipment in it. "Um, maybe we should leave." I said, she nodded, "Yeah, this is a little too creepy for me." I glanced at her, "Wow, for a human who can turn into an animal, you're saying that this is creepy?" She scoffed, "Coming from a werewolf himself." We headed back for the door. "Look we have just got to go and find the main entrance to this place, get out and go find some authorities."

Mary turned to me and nodded, "I completely agree with you on that, but I am really not sure where the closest town is." I thought back to the day I had first arrived here at this nuthouse, then I snapped my fingers, "I've got it! There is a large city by the name of West-Ville an hour or so from here!" Mary gave a gasp, "Really?!" I nodded, "Come on! Let's get out of here..."
