It was a joyous,
Yet torturing,
Midsummer afternoon.
The blazing sun stretched across her face,
Forming tears in her eyes,
Out of both delirium and lugubriousness
Towards her beloved sister,
Departing on a life changing journey
To mold and polish her career.
They had created memories,
Decades of cherished memories,
But now she would have to gather
And savor
Those precious moments,
Now trapped in the past.
She felt like a complex kaleidoscope;
Every time she turned,
She was seeing a different color,
Feeling a different emotion.
As those who were dear to her
Clutched her in their crying predicament,
And she couldn't help but release
The sea of deplorably lamentable water
Flowed from her eyes like a rushing stream
That had been stirring in her heart and mind.
She could not stand opening up
In that situation
During that time
Submersed in those people
So she scuttled away
To her treehouse
Back inside her comfort circle,
And wept,
Which was the tunnel to slumber.
